Hey guys, question that some of you may know the answer to.

in the last 4 months living in my apartment i have found 6 or 7 scorpions. most within the last month.

every scorpion i have found has been on my walls, i have only found one on the floor, i stepped on it, stung me, hurt like hell.

why are they only on my walls instead of the carpet????

they kind of blend in with my carpet, so maybe i just dont see them? it worries me that i find that many on the walls, and i cant see any on the floor....

Move out and burn the place!!!! I hate scorpions more than spiders.

That or get a black light in every room to see them.

had a scorpion sting me in my college apt. the apt was so worried about a law suit i got a few months free rent.

never been stung before that, i was paranoid, i couldnt feel my whole arm. (stung on the hand) they covered emergency costs as well.

i think the apartment should be very responsible for pest control ya?

At our house in Mexico we were getting scorpions in the house. We installed door sweeps at all the doors and it pretty much eliminated the problem. So I would look around the apartment and check any gaps they can sneek in.

That's a good question, I would say 1 out of 10 that I find are on the walls. Maybe they don't mind chilling on the walls if they're not hunting, even if its in the light. Where as when they hunt its done in the dark and we don't see them, just feel them when we step on them. I would get a black light and scan your place at night and if you have time I would try hunting them around the complex. It's pretty neat when you find one loaded with babies on their back.

ill have to look into door sweeps!!

im on the 2nd floor too, but only my front door is on the 1st floor. 9 times out of 10 i find them on my wall going up stairs from the front door. so maybe that will help.

they have been back 3 times to spray, i have seen more scorpions since they came. haha
ill have to go talk to them today after work, ill see what they say and post it up.

well good sir first let me say sorry your foot got penetrated by a freak of nature, that sucks.

now onto possible solutions, someone had already mentioned boarding a space craft and nuking the apartment from space as it is after all the only way to be sure.
lets just keep this on the back burner for the time being but, know its an option, a last resort if you will :)

option#2 get a couple cats not one or two but, three or four preferably feral crazy desert cats who are used to eating these fucking things to survive. the crazier the better, remember your not getting them to snuggle your getting them to eat half arachnid monsters that somehow have never evolved and that love the taste of human flesh.

option#3 combine a black light with the feral cats to be extra sure.

option#4 abduct a family of rabid meerkats and keep them in your home, remembering they are not pets and they probably will try and kill you themselves to gain their freedom back which you will have raped from them. but, hey at least they are fucking mammals ami right :homer:

option#5 combine cats, black light, rabid meerkats & orkin pest control services into one kick ass all american plan for the scorpions eradication. if this fails then board the spaceship and rain down nuclear fury.

if all this doesn't work its time to burn that shit hole to the ground reducing what was once your nice apartment to a pile of struck matches.

    That's wild man. Good luck.

Spread some cedar granules around your house especially by entrances.

They're very likely bark scorpions which tend to prefer being off the ground. They're also the most venomous species in Az. No real danger to you but can be bad news for small animals

finding them around the complex is easy, i can just search the main pool for 20 minutes and find like 30 scorpions!!!!

im wondering if they are just having trouble walking over my carpet??
i think i need to get a black light and start searching my house.
