Air Filter for a 2011 Tacoma 4x4 Sport

What is the best air filter to run in our Tacoma's?

But you have to understand that no two people are going to have the same experience with ANY aftermarket part you ask about. So asking for opinions is just creating the next post to show up in the search.

 

It's a time issue for me. I went to the search first. Didn't see much so I through it out there. I understand and was not going to respond but sometimes it's hard to let things go lol... Least your response was not bad to my mine...

I'm a 99% all highway guy with my Tacoma. Just trying to get all the fuel mileage I can get for the best $$.

 

I use a NAPA pro select pt# 26888 sell for about $15.00 at your local NAPA parts store

 

None of the filters make any noticeable difference in power or fuel economy.

Personally I use an aFe Pro Dry-S PN

31-10114. It's a "lifetime" filter. I just take it out every oil change and tap it a few times to shake the dust out. No messy oil to deal with like the K&Ns.

 

Go stock.

Higher air flow = less filtering. Toyota designed the stock filters the way they did for a reason. If you are not in actual need of a higher flow filter spend your money elsewhere.

 

I'm new to this site. I searched and quickly found my answer . I don't see why the OP.is having such difficulty, esp when there was another recent thread about what filter.

I chose to stay with OEM for now as it dles what i need it to do. Either move onto age dry or hit up the fleet supply llater.
