whats sad is most of you are posting games less than 15 years old.. games were good in the hay day of NES and Sega Genesis and Super nintendo..

All the newer games feel generic and bland and often dont leave with the same wow factor as say completing Final Fantasy 2 or 3

I welcome some of you to try some of the classics on the wii marketplace from the SNES days.. the graphics aren't as good but gosh dang are the games worth it to play.

    Super Metroid.
    Super Mario world.
    Zelda on SNES
    Chrono trigger.
    Final Fantasy 3

I grew up going to arcades so my idea of good video games is a little different.

Before my N64, then contra for sure. Also duck hunt was pretty sick! Then for N64, Zelda was the shit, but my game was 007 then Perfect Dark came out and took over.

I see one of my favorites in the background!!! They have a stand up like that in the picture with numerous of old games me and my two kids play. Very fun when I can actually beat them in a game that I know how to play instead of getting whipped on PS3 and the Wii.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the epic NES Bionic Commando. My freshman year in college was spent playing this game. Worst part of it was there was no save option, so if you wanted to beat it, you had to leave it on when you walked away or sit down, munch, drink beer and be prepared for all nighters...but the thrill of defeating the Albatross and Master D was incredible.
