    My service manager told me that all 2014's will have a skewp and it will no longer be a FAKE SKEWP! The Skewp will have it's own version of A-TRAC too!

    I tried to buy a DSCB V6 here in Canada (only come in 6pseed), and BC is SOLD OUT of SR5 and Base models.

    I will not be buying a '13 in hopes that '14 does in fact come with a new engine. I would be happy with either the current 4runner 270hp engine, or a new Direct injected V6.

    The current V6 offering is underpowered and over consuming with many of the current engines available in a truck.

    I had the use of a 3.7L V6 F150 for work and I was surprised how fast the truck actually was, and I got 23mpg hwy and 18 in town.

    I don't think he's saying it's underpowered so much, but compared to other V6's that are out there it could be better.

    As far as speed, I think mine is pretty quick. On take off anyway. It's just as fast on take off as my Hemi Ram was. But at hwy speeds the it won't hold a candle to the Ram.

    Well the Frontier/Equator does have a bit more power. But I see all these V6's out there that make more power, just don't know if they would have the torque needed for a truck. Like my wife's Accord, 272 hp V6. That's just one off the top of my head.

    IMO Toyota could do a number of things to get more power for the Tacoma but they don't need to, it sells to well already, especially with the domestics dropping their small/midsize trucks. I don't know if that's where he was going with that, but that's my take on it.
