Holy Bro-Lean, Batman!

Folded down the Bestop and helped my uncle empty his storage unit today. Had about 250-300lbs in the bed for the first load. My non-TSB leafs were bowing the OPPOSITE direction.

Thank goodness my Toytec 2" AAL will be here tomorrow...I'll post pics after the install.

Yeeeeeahhhhhh....I can feel my socks turning black and rising up my shins.

Can't wait for this AAL. I'm towing 2 jet skis, hauling 400lbs of cargo, and driving 4 passengers to Lake Mead next weekend, and after today, I know there was NO WAY IN HELL I could do that with these stock springs alone.

 

I'd be surprised if your AAL holds up to 1300+ pounds.

I would too...but it's a temporary solution that will prevent the rear from sitting on the bump stops for 600 miles. It'll definitely sag, no doubt. The non-TSB AAL adds 2" of lift to the rear, which is (I'm hoping) enough clearance to just let it sag a bit.

Dakar leaf pack will be on the way as soon as I get my bonus at the end of august

Get the TSB, then when you upgrade your leaf pack sell the TSB one.
There are numerous taco owners that want one but are too cheap to
pay the dealership full price, and don't qualify for the TSB due to an
older truck.

 

I've seen people pull 29' travel trailers with a stock V6 DC, but I get what you're saying.

I'll be doing 50-55mph the whole way out there, but overheating is a real worry for me. If you've ever done the 15 to Vegas from SoCal, you know the 2 gnarly spots where it's uphill for like 15 miles after Baker. I may bring a bottle of Prestone 50/50 with me just in case.

 

Not a bad thought, but doesn't it only add 1.5" of lift as opposed to 2" for the non-TSB? Either way, the non-TSB AAL is already on its way to my front door.

 

what rims and tires are you running BRA?

 

Ultra Type 164's and BFG AT KO's 285/75/16....broski. Picked up all 4 sets for $800 out the door

 

i have the same tires but 265, and rims look badass

 

Post pics after the install and how it rides. I need to do the same thing to mine. The OR leaf springs suck
