I have that same set up on my rear and i can guarantee that it will come no where near keeping up with the front end. But regardless a very nice truck just curiouse as to why the rear, I'm sure it will end up coming back to you for at least a shock hoop with some 12's

    Doh! That makes better sense!

Please don't take my comments as a knock towards SDHQ. I love your work, just giving my thoughts on why MT vs LT in this case.

This truck is for sale clear across the country in South Carolina now so unfortunately we will probably never see it again (it was one of my favorite builds) but I can assure you that it did just fine out in the desert the few times it went out.

What Icon rears do you have? From this picture in your build thread it appears that you have the older non rebuildable 2.0s
    [IMG]
This truck has the larger 2.5 RRs which have almost twice the oil capacity of the 2.0. This in turn keeps the shock much cooler longer after prolonged use in the desert. In addition they feature an incorporated bump zone the last inch of uptravel slowing compression to prevent hard bottoming out.

are the FJ wheels like a 16x7 4.25" or something like that?

well i guess I can use it on the rear and just swap the rear to the front if anything happens. I should be fine cause I am planning on a 1.25" rear spacer so it should work with the FJ alloys.

For the 1st gen guys rear LT, what did you do with the Hieght adjusting brake valve next to the frame? My buddy just installed 50ts and shocks are in the way of the valve.

    ...too much shit to list.
    Mine clears.
If you need space, swap it out for a regular proportioning valve like JD did.

What's going on there with the exhaust?
Is it routed up and over the frame and dumped out the side?

Also, it looks like a work in progress, but I would definitely suggest gusseting and plating up the frame on the main spring hanger. Having it just welded to the bottom of our frames is a bad day waiting to happen.

Mine cleared because my lower shock mounts are so far off the back of the axle, but yes I still just took it out anyway. For about $70 you can actually control how much rear brake you get. That stock valve goes to a maximum of something like 37% of brake power and the aftermarket ones go up to something like 60%. I can actually feel the rear wheels bite now but not enough to lock up
