Freedom of Speech @ Chick-Fil-A - The NON-T-shirt Thread

This isn't about his 'statement' which I support as free speech....this is about a company taking customer money straight and LGBT to fund organizations that are anti-LGBT or believe in 'cleansing' LGBT people, but LGBT people are not stuppose to have a problem with that????? people are so hypocritical

Thats one of the bigger things that are at issue here. Chik Fil A supports a ton of anti-gay and "traditional family" organizations. It's not just what he said, but what they do as a corporation that stings a lot of people.

Totally disagree with your "bunch of dumb fucks on here" statement though. No matter which side you support, there really is no need to sink to calling people names.

 

I support the 1st Amendment...And Chick-Fil-A was using it. Nothing wrong was said.

Honestly, if people are really going to not eat there because of their beliefs, they are going to have a hard time eating anywhere but their home.

There should be no reason for the bashing of Chick-Fil-A. They have stayed true to their beliefs since day 1, and I respect that. Closed on Sunday. That's the way it's always been, and always going to be.

Just live with it, they have not said anything threatening or disrespectful to gays...It's their opinion and they are entitled to it...The American Way.. There are always going to be people frowning upon beliefs/ways.
You can just ignore it and move on.

Personally I think Chick-Fil-A shouldn't grow out of the South more than they already have.

As I stated in my very first post, businesses should keep their mouths shut when it comes to things like this. I don't know where waffle house stands on gay issues because they don't run their mouths about it. Same with any other restaurant or business. In today's political climate, it is stupid to alienate at least 25% of the country's population (possibly more due to the support from non-gays) because you felt like you needed to world to hear your personal beliefs.

If I ran a business as successful as Chik Fil A, I would NEVER open my mouth about anything even remotely political, especially the gay debate we have going in this country right now. It is probably the most polarizing social issue we are facing.

If anyone is to be called an idiot, it's the business owner who opens his mouth on social issues!

 

Chik Fil A is not a corporation. Chik Fil A is a private business. They are not publicly traded. They can do what they want to do and don't have to answer to anybody.

I can see where you are coming from, but from the start they have been like this. There is no surprise in their voiced opinions, it's been static since they opened their first store in a mall in Georgia.

I have friends that have worked in numerous Chick Fil A's. All have been treated very well and with respect. That's something to say about a fast food chain.

If you want to support Chick-Fil-A you have that freedom and that right, but make sure you know what you're supporting....them supporting Exodus is one of the main reasons for my hatred for this company

Some of the things I saw and heard yesterday were down right disgusting.....watching people/so called FRIENDS, post/flaunt there food and here statement's like "homo free chicken today" really beat's you down

as I said this is about ACTIONS not Words!!!
