I've eaten at Roscoe's in Long Beach before. They didn't even serve fresh brewed tea and tried to call the place southern "southern style".

    :D

But on the chick fila statements, from my understanding they didn't even say what they did in a public news forum. I think he was speaking at a Southern Baptist annual church convention and it was published in their newsletter to the members. And nothing negative or hateful was expressed. It was only his opinion of the definition of the word marriage, the same definition held by the majority of the world's population.

Yes, they do have many gay employees and customers. They are one of the finest employers any student aged person could have for due to their management practices and training. Go to any one of their places and see how the service and friendliness is compared to most other fast food chains. Evidently they must give big bonuses for employee of the week or something.

Soooo... just out of curiosity, at what point did he say that he hates gays and lesbians? How exactly is this man expressing his opinion on gay marriage promoting hate?

This guy is a business owner, but he is also an American and has a right to his opinion and to express it freely.

Personally I dont care who is cuddled up to who, not my business. But I do get a little aggrevated by the whole 'support gays' agenda and the double standard that comes with it. We are constantly bombarded by 'gay rights'. TV shows, news, radio, movies, parades, etc... and as soon as someone expresses an opposite opinion it is headline news and you're going to never eat at Chik Fil A.... because the owner openly expressed that he has a religous objection to gay marriage? Seriously?

You're an American as well, and you certainly have the right to express your opinion and to never eat another waffle fry.... my opinion is that this shit has gotten out of hand in this country.

Given your "I'm an American" stance, how do you justify the denial of equal rights for a subset of legal US citizens?

We did it to the indians and slaves and women, why not the gays? As a tradition, it's a hard habit to break, but maybe we'll figure it out in another 200 years or so.

Made a comment a few pages back about liking roscos chicken and waffles better anyway. But they don't serve fresh brewed tea so can not be referred to as southern.
    Truthefully just screwing around.

I cant justify it, nor did I say that I do or dont support same sex marriage. What I did say is that I value peoples right to decide for themselves and to express that if they wish.
