Sorry but I do have to say chick fil a is great. I'm at a big food court at a mall and had a girl come up to me from the restaraunt asking if she could get me a refill...throw any trash out...or If i needed any more condiments...that alone is awesome and says a lot about the company. Doesn't hurt she was really cute too ha

Have you even read through this thread......Or do you just selectively read what you want to???? As I and other have said, it's not about his "statement" it about the fact that he donates money to organizations that deny gay people simple civil rights and to ones that promote torture tactics......anything you STILL don't understand?????

The Second Amendment is strongly embraced, but people often overlook the First Amendment, which keeps the Bible (and all other religious texts) from being the law of the land.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Passing laws based on religious teachings is just as unconstitutional as revoking the second amendment.

The law of the land is defined by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, neither of which provide for the denial of rights based on sexual preference, so how are his beliefs not against those of the United States of America?

^Poor wording on my part up there. If the second amendment were revoked, then it would no longer be unconstitutional to force people to give up their arms.

Ah well, you get the idea. :p

I wish I had been able to go out and support them, unfortunately, I didn't have time, the chick-fil-As near me had lines that were like 1-2 hr long. I was talking with someone who worked at one of the chick-fil-a at our local mall, apparently they usually have 300-500 customers a day......I believe that he said that they had 10,000 come through the restaurant...in the mall...with no drive through

if the second amendment were revoked, there would be no way for the people to keep the rest of the bill of rights from being taken away

Thats great that they are getting so much support from people because they (the ceo) voiced their beliefs and what they stand for. In today's society every one is so butt hurt and offended by everything and everything needs to be 100% politically correct or someone is in an uproar. I think it's great when people just say what they want and stand by their beliefs and don't try to bend and appease everyone.

Ok, I only read the first page and didn't feel the need to go any further. Let me ask you this: Where the hell did you read that he hates gays? Nowhere. He simply disagrees with homosexuality. That my friend is called a personal opinion. What if you found out the owner of Miller and Budweiser disagreed with gays. Would you quit drinking beer for that reason? Fuck no.

On that point, I never read a fucking thing that said he discriminates against hiring or even serving gays. Nor did he ever say he didn't want gays to purchase his product. Show me where Chick fil A promotes hate and I'll give you a damn cookie.

People need to get a fucking grip on themselves in this politically correct world. Every business owner has an opinion on this and and people affiliated with an unspeakable political group have made a fucking shitstorm over something petty.

TL;DR - People need to grow the fuck up and respect opinions of others, even if they don't agree with you.

    This.

Not sure where the source is on that one, but if they are than that's just a pathetic attempt to get attention and cause a scene. You see a straight couple in a restaurant feeling each other up and making out...its fucking tacky and they look like idiots, you see a gay couple doing the same thing...guess what? It looks fucking tacky and they look like idiots. Take it home and keep it in private. That's also where the whole Boy Scout stance on homosexuality comes from. The BSA does not kick someone out for being gay, they would kicked someone out as soon as you make it an issue, and you make it part of your agenda to make your sexuality an issue. Straight people don't run around screaming "Im straight, im straight!" and most gay people don't run around professing their sexuality either, its the small group of people that go out of their way to make it an issue and start causing problems because of it.

Actually, if you read the amendment again carefully, the amendment was not made to keep people from making biblical based laws, but rather to keep the government from making laws against or intruding on religious groups. The separation of church and state is just a coined phrase. The law says nothing about religious people influencing laws, as long as it doesn't infringe upon the beliefs of religious groups.

So if the owner of chicfilet wants to state what he believes and what his company stands by, there isn't anything anyone can do about it. Thank God we live in a country where you can state your belief. That same right is why gay people or anyone can state their beliefs.

Chick-fil-a is a fast food joint owned by obnoxious homophobic Christian phychos. They can take their chicken and religious beliefs and shove it up their ass. How's that for freedom of speech?

I doubt many people will do that. It would piss too many people off and cause them to get hurt if they did that.
Also the store manager can run them out of there if they start.
