After having my beloved 2011 MGM DCLB totaled back on July 10th I considered taking my insurance money and settling for a used 05-06 Tundra, but this thread has me feeling differently. I think I'll take what I got from insurance and use it as a nice down payment for a 2012-2013 instead.

Hey did you ever get your lift installed? I didn't see any pics. ...would love to see how it turned out. Mine has turned out to be "rock hard" stiff in the rear end with the toy tech a.a.l. Not completely happy with it but will live with for now. still looks good. Take care.

Get a good set of coilovers....king, icon, saw. Some upper control arms...aal or new leafpack for rear and some extended travel shocks. Give you roughly 2.5 -3" of lift and performance will skyrocket.

Go big or go home!! It really all comes down to how you are going to use the truck....offroading it alot..defiently spend the money on icon and all that...mainly highway..go big...my truck never sees offroad so i went big but its all in what you want

edit: will post pics later today with new wheels and tires on and the 6.5" lift

I'm not going to be doing a whole lot of offroading just every once and awhile. What's the difference in icon lift and the pro comp lift kit the only one i see is price. I don't know a lot about lift kits. I was just wantin to buy a kit online and put it in. What's the best website to look at and the best kit for the money? Thanks for the info!

The icons are a performance/lift product...whereas the pro comp is mainly just to lift. If youre going to wheel it id suggest icons...if the choice is those two.

Sweet looking truck. Makes me wish I went with the 6" now!

Do you have a tuneau cover on your bed? If so which one and do you have any complaints?

Mpg won't go down with the lift. It goes down with larger tire and rim size.

The lift will also affect the MPG, because of added weight, and increased wind resistance. Just not as much of a factor as the tires. I'm lucky to get 14mpg with my 12, 4x4 lifted 6" on 35s.

Thanks for the compliments on my truck :) I love it! And yes YotaMatt has it correct, 35x12.50 Trail Grapplers.
