Lol. Same here. There was a white dcsb off road with a dealer Installed 3" kit and black rims out front when I bought mine. Had a "dammit!" Moment for a second. But it quickly passed. :)

If I had 50k to spend on a new truck, I'd go with a new SR5 4x4 DCSB for $35k, use the other $15k on S/C, lockers, armor, winch, lift, tires, and recovery gear. Screw the bluetooth, sunroof and leather.

50k isnt really that far off what it would cost someone to have the truck and alll the parts installed and the dealer is obviously going to have a markup on it. you obviously could do it cheaper yourself but a lot of people (even on here) dont.

And for lots of people that buy tacomas, having a 3" lift and larger tires is just about as much as they need to do all the crawling they want.

tons of people on here think they have "crawler" rigs and havent added front locker or tcase mods.

The pin stripes are hideous though

x2, this is what I've been trying to say. Purchasing everything through a dealership and having them install it on a new truck, you'd be close to the $45k mark anyways. It's expensive but this way all the mods are done, dealer installed and you can finance them into the truck loan. Personally, I wouldn't pay that much for it but someone will. Plus, at least this one was done right unlike others that have been posted with 3" spacer lifts and 20's. The only thing that was done incorrectly seems to be side steps vs. sliders. The other mods could all stay in place.

It's the power sliding rear window that put's it into the realm of "spare no expense" customers.

/actually I'd like a hidden power rear slider.

Those are mean custom sliders from JC Witney, well worth 50K

I'm currious if the dealer mechanics were competent enough to know to do a Cab Mount Chop and bang back the pinch weld.

Otherwise "Crawling" at the mall over speed bumps on 285/70/17's will sound funny in front of Macy's, and that would just be embarrassing, especially if the people at PF Changs recognize you!!!

I've got the same truck, similar setup except SB on my '12.

Supercharged, heated leather, sunroof plus a few more mods....I'm in 46K and counting:eek:.

No lift or rims though....the pinstripe must have been about 4K;).

And yes, I want the hidden power rear slider too!

I'm approaching 50k into my Taco, but I feel like I've gotten substantially more value for the money...

Anyway, this thing gets posted about every week. It's still kind of sad.

They also have a couple of Tundra's set up similar. Didn't look that closely at them, damn salesman wouldn't leave me alone. I did see the sticker on one was $53k.
