There's nothing in Billy's product description, but he should add a warning about these bumpers . . . random Tacoma owners are going to stop you and want to waste your valuable time discussing your bumper and Tacomas in general.

My bumper has been on for a mere two weeks and I've been cornered twice. "Where did you get that awesome bumper" is how the conversation generally begins. Of course the Tacoma talk starts then. Sheesh, what a pain! Then I end up showing them the hidden hitch. Sure they're impressed and all, but I didn't know I was going to be hassled so much over a trick custom aftermarket bumper.

Just today my bumper caused me to be late returning from lunch. Of course to be polite I had to mention bruteforcefab.com and tacomaworld.com.

I just felt that everyone should be aware of the downside to these! Okay, now you've been warned.

so are you guys painting these, or leaving them primed ?

Also can you get a picture from above the bumper looking straight down to show how far the bumper actually sticks out?

    Thanks

From what I've seen, I'd say that most are painting their bumpers. At least a couple of us have used spray-on bed liner as a base with enamel over the top with excellent results.

Here's a shot of mine from side and a little of the top. Hope it helps.

I just bought a can of bed liner and painted it on with a brush. It probably would look cleaner spraying it but I don't care and am happy with how it looks. Just make sure to top it off with some black spray after. I'm on my phone so I have to quote myself to show you the bumper pic. I used the key as a size reference.

it comes primed but its more of just a quick shot of spray paint to keep it from rusting! U will need to paint it! $30 in material and u can have a very nice, freshly painted rear bumper ;)

Gotta get ur name out there first! The best thing about the first group buy is it gave a handfull of different people a chance to pick a part and review his bumper to the rest of the world which in turn, because ALL of the reviews were good, it opens more opportunity for business! Thus making it possible to get twice as many folks the 2nd time around!;)
