    this thread is the $h!t. Matching these little pieces really tie the interior together (like a good rug). I am so doing this.

    + for the OP for being brave and tearing the interior apart with lighters and razors.

    The ring around the shift knob just pulls right off the knob, and the ring around the shifter, just use a lighter on the back side for a few seconds at a time in different areas and you should be able to pry it off. It took me a few minutes to get it off. Start reading from post #34, that's where I started asking questions about that piece.

    Did you guys sand the plastic pieces before you painted it? If so what grit did you use? I am painting the pieces now and the paint has little bubbles all through out the paint.
