They're in the garage ready to go. 15 minutes and I can be as trail ready as I get. I've already got the recovery shackle for the receiver and a tow chain (I'd need a strap if I actually get into it though).

One of my concerns is the 5100's are too short for the rear setup I have. I don't think it'll be a problem but I'd have to be careful how much flexing I do :)

If they break it'll just be a reason for a better setup!

It's been out on the trails a few times actually! Once in a park in Plymouth (which turns out I was someplace I shouldn't have been anyways) and the other time was in Jackman, ME. Neither was anything crazy, I was bone stock and alone so I was very mindful of what trails I would follow.

The ones in Maine were pretty easy, all 2wd, very wide but lots of rocks.

Honestly at the speeds we travel that is not any concern.

Your talking to the right guy. Sport wheels used three months sitting in my basement. No tires though. Unless Alex doesn't want the Hankooks.

I would def trade even, but i dont have another set of tires or wheels so they would have to have tires on them. think you could get them cheap enough? the BFG's on these are in great condition!

if you dont even use this set and just sell them its extra money haha

I am still running my stock biltsteins with the OME AAL out back and was floating tires around at RC with no problems.

I wasn't planning on going off road with it to be honest. Last minute saw some trails and decided to go for it. I have only had the truck a month and living in the city haven't even had the chance to play with stuff yet.

    Good to know!

How the hell to people keep managing to break their 5100's? Seems like I've seen quite a few threads where people have managed to break them from topping out too hard (and claming it was from flexing).

So it seems it takes a bit more than some flexing to finally break the shock... Sounds like the desert boys are a little rougher on their suspension than us.

I'd say jumping sand dunes at 60mph will break a shock .
