2012 trd sport

I got the missing part. When you get it go through it and make sure the air pump bracket is there. With that it will fit.
So far I like it. A noticeable HP gain and it sounds and looks bad ass.

 

where did you order your skid plate and how much? Is it aftermarket or toyota brand?

 

It's the Toyota brand.
I was going to buy one from the dealer then I found one on Craigslist. Cheap and new.
I'll post pics soon. It will be back from powdercoat Friday.

 

What is the part number for the airaid mxp?? What all did u have to modify to make it fit? I have the TRD on my 08, thinking about trading for a 2012 and wondering if I can modify the TRD Kit I already have!!

 

It's the latest one. No mods except cutting out the engine cover. Or it can be left off.
It sounds bad ass matched with the Flowmaster American thunder.



Make sure they include the airpump relocation bracket.

 

Removed TRD decals. I'm probably going all the way with it and remove the badges. Hairdryer and fishing line.
Installing an x-metal grille soon.
Bronze skid-plate should be ready soon from powdercoat. 2 weeks to powdercoat? It's a cash/beer deal so what can I expect. They do good work when they get around to it. Patience.

Awesome man.
Waiting for the xmetal grille. Taking off the badges on that too.
Also have an F1 backflip tonneau to install. Already put in the pop n lock in the tailgate. Wired to The passenger door locks.
Next will be upgrades on the speakers, a couple of amps and a kick ass sub.
Keeping the stock head unit.

Shitty thing is up here we have to have front plates.
I might remove it. I think the fine is cheap and it will take awhile to get busted. Lol

 

we have that law, takes no time at all to grab someone for that. its an easy pinch. id just leave it on.

the grille is nice but a little too flashy for the theme of the rest of the truck IMO

love the wheel and tire set up!

 

I thought the same about the grille when it was first installed. Now I like it.
Thinking of getting silver/gray TRD decals for the rear quarter panels.
Just enough flash, so to speak, to flow with the grille.
It never ends. Lol

There's an xmetal grille badge that came with the grille. I didn't put it on as I thought it would be too much.
Now I'm thinking I should paint it bronze like the wheels and skid plate.

 

Painted the xmetal grille badge bronze to match the wheels and skidplate.
Perfect.
