California CAI questions

on the box says its only for a racing vehicle... do the cops really care in CA? and if anyone has gotten a ticket how much was it?

 

you probably wouldnt get pulled over specifically for THAT, but it could be another violation if you get popped for something else. Your other trouble would be passing smog..

did you guys do your smog test with it on or off?

 

No smog yet no need for it right now, but if you ever smog it switch the intake with the oem one.

 

if its CA legal, do it on - if its not CA legal, i dont do it.

But if you did, you would want to put the OEM back on before you attempted to smog it..

 

i guess im keeping the OEM part then... cool..i guess i can always renew my registration for like 3 years so i dont have to worry about it... just have va plates...lol

I have AFE / TRD and it is CA legal. All you need is the sticker that has the CARB number. Or you can "be creative" on that, I plead the 5th....

i got pulled over for my exhaust when it was really my CAI. told the cop it said legal on it and just kept saying that. he couldnt give me a ticket so he said.. your license plates lights are out.. little bitch. I was just cruising up the street and his bored ass had to bust a bitch and he made it all elaborate also.. like a u turn burn out..
