Anyone have experience with this lens?

    Tokina 400mm f/5.6 AT-X SD AF

Me and AJ were talking, I can't justify looking at the Canon 400mm when I know I will only use it a handful of times a year. That Tokina can be had for around $400 versus the Canon at $1000+. Any suggestions or input on the lens above and below is a picture of what the lens looks like.

Canon 400mm on the left, Tokina in the middle and the Canon 70-200 on the right.

Finally thought of a way I could work on my photography while deployed. Just a little product shoot with a sheet and an SB-900. I think it looks pretty cool.

every time I look at an off brand lens I am far from impressed with image quality.

Ever seen an image out of a Tokina wide angle lens? Far from bad image quality...

Or for that matter the Sigma 70-200 2.8 HSM! That one's fucking awesome.

FWIW, I will be selling my Sigma 70-200 2.8 HSM and my Tokina 11-16 2.8 next month. TW get's first dibs so I'm letting you all know.

That it is. I currently don't have access to it as I'm in Iraq and it's in my climate controlled storage unit in the states. We should be coming back soon though.

    Brand new it's $700 so I'll let it go for $575 + S&H.

I've barely used it. I got it right before I deployed and last second I decided not to bring it with me.

Now all my gear is FX so no need for a DX.
