I am not an expert but if it is a 2003 bike it is almost 10 years old. New or not I don't think it would be worth $600 on the used market today. But again I am no expert. GLWS or trade.

Curious though why did you trade games for bike that you were not going to want?

Matt here, nice to meet you Jon.

Check out my gallery, theres a few pictures in there. To be honest I dont have many more pictures of the truck since I got LT'd. I need to snap some new ones.

I know, wish I had a little longer to spend looking around out there, but i am SO ready to get out of the southeast. I'd start the drive today if i could.

Right now here's the town's we want to see:
    Boulder
    Fort Collins
    Greeley
    Estes Park
    Evergreen
    Conifer
    Vail
    Avon
    Castle Rock
    Gunnison
    Durango
    Pueblo
    Colorado Springs

I dunno if we are going to have enough driving time for all that...

You have LT, SO jealous! We will HAVE to wheel sometime ive been dying to get into the passenger seat to feel what LT rides like. As for that list, Those are alot of GREAT towns, Conifer is BOOMING we have had a king soopers a safeway and BIG R put in and that all happened within 5 years. and there is more still being built. If you want a town that you can still drive to denver, Yet be out in the mountains and not to far from all the fun mountain stuff Conifer is an amazing choice.

Didnt want the xbox and figured id try my hand at some bartering, I traded up and hopefully will get more money then i would have just selling the xbox, And i know mountain bikes are a hot thing these days so i figured id make some money :)

600 is a high starter. its an 03 that looks like an 2010. Its a nice bike, It still rides like it did new. and it was bought for around 1400-1500 bucks. It has upgraded rear forks and grips also. I figure almost 60% off retail is pretty good? I mean look on craigs. they are going for 600. The two that are on there anyway.

The only problem with mountain bikes is that they get better and better every year. So a 2003 may be nice but compared to a 2012 for 1400 it is gonna be a huge difference "hydraulic disc brakes, 2x the travel 1/2 the weight". You may wanna bring it by a bike shop "not a sports store" and say hey "If I just bought this how much should I have just paid..." They'll be able to tell you and they won't sugar coat it.

State statue, not a municipal code, so every county, city, and town in CO may enforce it

Pueblo is SMALL. If you want the mountain area look into Castle Rock or somewhere in Summit County. Castle Rock=$$$

Big tires, big lift, Lots of stuff's.
That and the componets from 2003 till now there is a large difference. If you look at the forums. This bike was $600 used 4-5 years ago. Like I said 2-400. $400 being the high side.

    Yeah.
Gotta agree with this. MSRP new was $1,279.99, and most people pay 10% to 15% under that, so it's really about an $1100 bike.

    See http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2003&Brand=Gary+Fisher&Model=Sugar+4%2b&Type=bike#.UCBfDeH2aqI

It came with LX components, which are decent mid-grade components, not entry level. Rim brakes with probably no option to upgrade to disk hurts, and an old Manitou fork. It's not bad for a solid starter bike for someone, but there are better used options for $600. Hope for $400, take $300 if you can get it, but expect to be out of it for $250 or so.

Eh I'd switch Greeley with Windsor and add Loveland to that list. Since Loveland is right down the road from Estes and Windsor is in between Loveland and Fort Collins. Greeley has a gang issue and smells like cow shit 99% of the time.

Muni code and county code can be more restrictive then state code but not less. So yes, every muni agency and county agency can and should enforce this.

    Yeah.
My parents live in Loveland, and apparently lots of old folks live there with them. They love it, drive up to Estes all the time when my dad isn't losing stuff in the Fort Collins Sheriff's Dept. evidence room (he still hasn't retired, not sure if they let him in the evidence room anymore though).

Take a look at those but when you plan to come out here rent for at least 6 months in your favorite and visit the others during that time frame before you commit to buying. Also with mountain towns check out a site called VRBO.com. Vacation Rentals By Owner. If you find one in an area you like you can strike up a deal with the owner for a more long term rental. It could be a month or 3 months. Let's you explore more. Let us know when you get here so we can show you around. :D
