Denis, got any pics of the rear bumper? Thought I saw somewhere that you put one on. Did you install it yourself?

There's more in my gallery and i installed it myself, really easy to do.
Only thing i had to do was to get new license plate lights (the ones that came with it were chrome),i found black led ones at Superbrightleds.com for about $20. delivered and they are a perfect fit.

The Talon 9.5 with synthetic for 800 is an awesome deal. When I went to the meeting at Superwinch they gave us a 50% off code for their website. That would make that winch $790. I wish I paid the extra back then for synthetic. The wire is just such a pain.

Wires suck! The end of mine is fraying and hurts. And they are so heavy.

That bumper looks sweet. Which one is it again? And did it come painted? Sounds like big bucks though and you have to remove the stock trailer hitch :(

How is yours fraying already? Mine is in alright condition, just weighs a ton and has some little wires sticking out.

It is the all pro and it is powdercoated. It might have the hitch behind the plate but I do not remember.

It was fraying from the start where the hook is attached. I suppose I could ground it down.

Bumper would have to have a hitch attachment or no go.

I am in the same boat as you. I have been eyeing the brute force fab one with the tire gate, water/gas storage and hidden hitch.

It is the relentless high clearance. I am a little scared to cut my bedsides.

Cut your bedsides and drop probably close to $1,500 - $2,000 on a bumper

This is a tough crossroads in my off roading life. Do I drop 3-4 grand into the Tacoma to make it a decent capable rig with skids, bumper, and at least one locker or do I just find a trail rig and pave part of my front yard to alleviate the car storage issues we would have? And this all has to wait until after the wedding and honeymoon to happen. The project engineer in me just likes to plan stuff way out.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma

Those brute force bumpers look awsome. Both the front and the back. Did you see all the bracing in them?

From my viewpoint, it seems that a lot of you guys have already gone pretty far down the path of making the Tacoma a trail vehicle. I suppose all the mods you've already done could be sold off, bringing the Taco back to stock and giving you a pretty decent fund to go find a trail rig.

Personally, I'd rather have a trail rig which is why I haven't joined you guys on any trail runs. My truck gets me to work every day and I can't afford to have it go down. If I had the money, I'd find an older Jeep as a trail rig. SAS, In-line 6 cylinder engine and a short wheel base.

I honestly don't like the looks of that. The wrap around option sticks out like a sore thumb.
