i've been using my truck a lot since i moved back....consistently carrying a fish cooler with 200lbs of ice and towing my boat to and from the harbor .

I'm lookin at doin the same lift on my 2012 with the same size tires. What's the point in the cb drop kit and the u bolt flip kit. Also does the tires rub any? Thanks!

 

do you have a vid of your exhaust? i'd like to know how that chopped pipe sounds!

 

the cb drop kit helps eliminate the vibrations and shudder at take off (i no longer have the drop kit because my vibes and shudders went away with the alcan springs). the flip kit for the u-bolts gives you a little more clearance on the rear axle while off roading.

nah man it sounds exactly the same. i cut the exhaust so it would clear my custom leaf springs.

 

Where did you get the alcans from? And if you dont mind how much? I wanna get rid on this big ass block

 

do you know how much it hurt the gas millage after you lifted it? thanks.

the lift itself has a minimal (though still negative) affect on gas mileage. The big hit comes from the larger tires that come after.

 

i was just wondering what he gets cause its the same truck i have. Im just having trouble deciding between a 3 inch lift and 33 or a 6 in lift and 34s

 

you can order em on alcanspring.com i think they were around 500 for the two leaf packs.

before i got the lift and tires i was averaging about 22-23mpg...now i get about 20mpg on the highway.
