So.... wat would it take to convert blocks to a full 6" leaf pack? How/wat kind of leafs would be needed?

Extremely ARC'd leafs (like SUA) & very long rear shackle, might have to drop the front hanger as well, when I started experimenting with my own truck (1st gen) I managed to get almost 5" over stock w/overload, but needless to say it looked nutts & not real practable for my type of wheeling plus you'd need a longer drive shaft & getting any kind of reasonable drive angle would be work, I mean I guess its doable but a fair amount of time/money & configuring to make it trailable, can't imagine how sketchy it'd be on the side of a hill, but they're out there no doubt

Wat is SUA? I would think a longer rear shackles would make for another weak point, meaning if was to flex too much, may snap off at perch. I'm running 6" lift now, but its actually 4" rear lift, n stock drive shaft. So if I was to eliminate rear lift blocks n put full leaf packs why would I need new drive shaft if already gonna run same height/lift set up? I rather go hit trails in full leaf pack than w blocks lol

I might of mis-read I didn't know you were already at 6", thought you meant getting a 6" lift without the use of blocks, in any event , SUA is spring-under-axle like the LT guys run, reason i bring it up is because they use extremely ARC'd springs like i said reason for this is to gain max travel without having to lift as much seeing how they start at a lower center of gravity, that said you can only ARC your springs so much then you end up with a ride that would be better off without springs altogether, you'd have almost no flex what so ever, thats why you can go just so much with degree of ARC then to gain additional lift extended shackles are needed especially with 2nd gens that already have a shackle config that is beyond stupid as most ya'll ready know, not a weak point at all, lets the main leaf start the compression cycle of the leafs, better than snapping the eyelett off the main spring which of course would be a disaster, As far as the driveshaft goes, yeah you can get away with it but I'd still consider a longer one or at least a longer slip yoke to compensate for the distance lost when it was lifted, & you will lose length because as drive angle increases the shaft has to stretch (sliding yoke extends further from shaft therefore "shortening " its travel. the ability to cycle with the cycling of your springs, hope that makes some kind of sense...

Nice! Didn't know u had the front bar. Kit looks ok. But if u plan on off roading a bit more, u wanna just save ur money n get something that's worth it, instead of just a leveling kit IMO

I ran that leveling kit on my 07. You get what you pay for. Front Bilstein 5100s are only a couple more bucks and a much better way of achieving the same thing.

Yeah I took the bull bar & tube steps off my '11 when I traded it in and they fit perfect on the '12. I plan on doing some off roading, but nothing hard core. Probably do the leveling kit for now so I can stop rubbing, eventually do a 3" lift kit.

Ok, I'll admit I'm a bit of a newb so I'll trust your opinion on this. Are these the correct ones:

    http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits-Suspensions-Shocks/Bilstein-5100-Series-Ride-Height-Adjustable-Shock-Absorber.aspx?t_c=1&t_s=90&t_pt=3306&t_pl=9763&t_pn=BIL24-186711

If so, is that price for a pair or just one? Either way, I agree I think it'd be worth getting instead of the leveling kit.
