Yeah I've heard it's pretty straight forward with pre runners, the only thing that I can think of to get tricky would be the spindle gussets. I'm willing to take a drive up to sac to get some help on this. we should be able to do it in a day you think?

We wont be able to do the spindle gussets. My welder isnt strong enough you will have to go to a shop to have that done.

yeah, it will be fine. Another option you could do is remove the spindles and take them to Jerry to weld. Removing the spindles isn't too bad. Let me know where this ends up at. I'm in Oakland ( 510 ) so if it's not too far I can meet up and lend a hand.

never mind I thought the kit came with spindle gussets but it looks like it doesn't. Once its done and I order some gussets I think I'll just run it over to Jerry and see if he can do it.

Still waiting on the parts to get in, the shocks should be getting in Monday, and the LT kit I thought was suppose to be shipped thursday but it might have been next thursday so I'm thinking around early to mid August I should have everything and some time to do this. Where is everyone in the bay area located? I'd like to get as much help as possible but I'm sure you guys wouldn't want to drive all the way from the bay area to Roseville just to help.

How does this weekend work for everyone? I will have all the parts that I ordered, if this weekend didn't work when this August works best?

That probably works a little better I'm currently sick in Spain So I probably won't be back this weekend, lol. Next looks more promising at the moment.

I can't recall for sure but I thought they were 8" stroke.

LT install on a mod day?!?!?! Nice!!!!

    Food for thought....
Took me a hell of a lot longer than one day to do my LT setup. Jerry and I got the bulk of it done in one day, but I was doing stuff before and after. Keep in mind, you have to remove the UCA and drop the spindle out to install coil bucket gussets. You have to remove the spindle to do spindle gussets. You have to remove the LCA in order to install camber tab gussets. Seems like a lot of doubling up on work if you're not gusseting now. And if you don't gusset now, and beat on your truck, you will be replacing parts later ;)

Seth you'll need a welder for the limit strap clevis. Mount's to the frame offset from the coil bucket. Of course UCA, LCA, and brake lines. I don't see resi mounts pictured anywhere. Typically those are weld on too. Also it will simplify life if you tack weld the bolts through the bottom of the top plates. There's not a lot of room to get a wrench in there to keep it from spinning while you put on the lock nut. The zirk fittings TC sends with the kit are shit and like to break off if you're not careful. Might want to pick up a pack from your local parts store and have drill and tap handy.. Lastly TC bushings are a super tight fit especially when it's hot as balls outside. Throw them and the sleeves in the freezer for a bit and douse them with dry lube before install.

Thanks for the run down on everything involved with the install. I don't have any of the gussets but I don't plan on doing serious off-roading till I have gussets and fenders installed. I've been informed about not having fenders with the lt kit installed so I'm keeping the wheeling to a minimum until it is all done.

I hope this doesn't deter you from helping out Seth. Will be be able to do the welding required for the limit straps? or will I need to set up a Time with Jerry to get some of the welding done ?

I weld anything you want if you wanna come up to Tahoe.
Jerry's a lot closer and does it for a living though. I can stick two pieces of metal together strong, but BAMF will do that and make it look purty and is a hell of a lot closer than me.

As for the fenders...I wouldn't hit a speed bump at speed without putting glass on even with just the 2 inch kit. You'll destroy the fenders in no time. I've seen the fenders come off with stock length arms getting beat on in the desert.

So is your plans on the rear just a deaver pack and factory length shocks or what? Being that you're a prerunner, my assumption is you got the LT kit for mid speed desert scene or bro hoes. I'm hopping the former. If that's the case, you'd be way better off with the AP standard pack and either some shock hoops or BAMF's now plate shock relocate kit. Neither involve much if any cutting into the bed and will compliment the front nicely. In the LT world you want the rear to outperform the front by 20-25% otherwise you'll end up with a bucking bronco, so keep that in mind when you piece together the rear.

If it's all about bro hoes, just crank up the coilovers as far as they will go and put a monster in the center console and you're rear suspension is done.
