You're right, it was a MAG, not a clip. My mistake. Thank you for correcting me, it would have ruined everyone's day if the information contained in my former email wasn't fully accurate.

    After reading the following reviews:

    http://www.windhamweaponry.com/shopnews.asp?type=SurvivalBlog%20Editor%20Pat%20Cascio%20Reviews%20WWs%20MPC

http://www.windhamweaponry.com/shopnews.asp?type=American Rifleman reviews WWs SRC AR-15 Carbine

Purchased the Flat Top model SRC (Sight Ready Carbine) from Bud's (price was $759 included shipping) http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php
weapon comes with a 30 rd magazine and a lockable hard case

What impressed me was Windham's lifetime (transferable) warranty.

After the FFL transfer ($25) and "Nevada Instant Check" ($25), still saved enough on the rifle to also purchase 500 rds of ammo from:

    http://www.freedommunitions.com/

Headed to the big gun show in Reno August 17th and will get some fold down sights, additional magazines and other goodies.

Will do a non-scientific review after the first range session.

Thanks for all the input and comments!!!!!

Yes, they were posted on the MFG's web site, but they were INDEPENDENT reviews......one from the NRA.

No Worries, but just to be clear...I wasn't poking fun at Cali residents, I was actually sympathizing with you. I can't believe the restrictions for you guys. Crazy.

In all honesty, my Wyndham made Bushmaster (circa 2004) is actually a pretty well made rifle. It runs like it should and outside of some issues with lacquered ammo, it has done everything I asked of it.

Thing was awesome. Guy that picked it up bought a Daniel Defense V5 off me about two weeks ago. Came in to pick it up today, and was asking about .308's. I sold him on it before he saw it. My brother was walking the rifle to the wall to go up for sale and it grabbed it. DAYUMN... Wish I had that money

Ya, would have to be licensed to actually practice in California and file the paperwork, but there's no reason that he couldn't do something as a friend, unless there are ethics laws against that.

OTOH... while our gun laws suck, Texas knife laws suck.

I use a knife a LOT more often than I use a gun.

I have 3 of these kershaw leek knifes that are spring assisted. They are made in oregon and a very nice knife. In oregon if you want a spring loaded knife legally it needs to be manufactured here. a switch blade would be illegal here.

In the picture you can see the little trigger on the back of the knife. Flip that switch and SHABAM!
