    I decided to go with a 3in ready lift kit with 18 fuel hostage wheel and the 33 nitto trail tire instead of the pro comp stage 1 6 in lift on my white dclb. I really liked the 6 inch lift but thought it would kill my mpg. I should have it done by sunday. I might go to a 6 inch later who knows. But is there anything I can do to maybe give it another inch or two if im not satisfied with the 3in? Thanks!

    Would check out Ebay and craigslist. I bought my front lift spacer on ebay and my wheels bought them used. The wheels I bought were just ugly like they never polish them. I got them powdercoated black with a new set of 285/70r17 tires and made it stand out more then the old polish..

    This thread is blowing my mind. I'm about to step up and get new wheels/tires for my DCLB pyrite. I'm not sure what I want to do yet though. Either black FJ trail teams (16") or stay with 17s, which I have no idea what rim I'd want to switch to (but I can at least get the tires and figure out the wheels later). I'd love the anthracite FJ wheels but no idea how to get them. Right now I'm thinking BFG A/T.

    I personally believe that a supension lift is a better way to go. I have heard that the procomp lift is very stiff and not a great ride. I am a fan of the OME product but it is double the price of the procomp and it will only get you 2.5" max without spacers. Good luck.

    I have the Pro Comp on my truck. It's actually not that stiff at all, I am starting to get the squeaky leaf though. I might switch it out for the Toytec ULK, since I wanna add some armor in the future. Don't be like me and just buy a kit, do alot of research first. I don't regret my lift choice since it does the job for now, since I wasn't thinking about adding armor or anything at first. Do it right the first time.

    shouldnt some 4.56 or 4.88's fix yalls mpg's for whoever is runnin 6'' and 35's. it should at least bring the numbers up to like 16 instead of 14

    I would think a shorter gear would hurt mileage. Shorter gears improve performance at the cost of turning higher rpm's. My 4.0 gets thirsty above 2,000 rpm.
