Calling all Virginians (Tidewater area)

Id def upgrade the headunit, I have 2 10s Alpine Type S. They get the job done. Coming from 2 12s in my old blazer though is night and day

 

doing what... waiting to replace my Head unit (Avic Z2) that keeps overheating!

So I ordered a set of BAMF slider back when there was this 20% off sale because the guy supposedly had some extra tubing. I told him the sliders that I wanted, (DCLB, w/ a kickout and bolt on option) and an invoice was sent. The invoice was for the wrong amount so I emailed him back and told him it wasnt enough and he said just pay it anyway and he would send me another one. He sent me another one and I was a little confused about the extra cost than I was expecting but I spoke with him and paid it anyway. So I get a another email from him today saying the sliders are going to cost more to ship and that I have another invoice for an additional 60$. At this point I have now spent 605$ on a pair of sliders and this 20% off deal is costing me more than the other set I was wanting to originally get from Brute Force Fab. Here are the emails, am I wrong to get some last second bill? Guy has shipped almost a hundred sets of sliders and other products, how can you not have accurate shipping quotes?

 

only difference is their is a quote for this one for shipping and there wasnt on the last one.

 

Sounds a little sideways to me. Then again so does paying for something I can make myself for just shy of $250

I would first PM him your concerns clearly and stick to the facts. Maybe between all the work and admin... He's lost track. What is his regular advertised price? Use that... The 20% off... Spell it out.

Anyone down here done one of the retrofit HID kits?

Here is my truck.. Just got done test fitting the headlamps I plan on doing the retrofit into.

Did you purchase the drop in kit? I am trying to see how extensive the work will be and whether I will even be able to do it with the tools available to me. Thought about having Custom Lightz in Richmond do it.

 

Just about all of us have the DS2 Mini kits from theretrofitsource. I have done mine, joejoes, and helped Ryan with his. It is extremely easy if you hve the bolt on ones. If not then you will have to do some cutting of the shrowd. I was on Eustis for 3 years...that place is the arm pit of the Army But I know A LOT of people there, so if you need anything please don't hesistate to ask...
