Crosstours cost a freakin mint. For what he's looking for, a RAV4 or a CRV might be a good choice, but I don't know what the specifics are. RAV4's aren't too bad for price from what I've been playing with on the builder tools.

We are still looking. She really likes the '12 Escape. And its a good price

I knew it was you from your bumper.

I've been pushing the RAV4, but she's not a fan of them.

I put that on the list of "to-buys" once powerball finally becomes fully vested for me

Also the RDX (which I like for the size) and the MDX (which she really likes) starts at 34k and 43k respectivly

Do you guys know, and I ask this because I have heard multiple answers for this. On an AWD vehicle, do you have to get a completly new set of tires if you have to replace one of them?

Ah poo. I priced out a part-time 4x4 that was beating the price of the competition. Safe, easy to drive, and inexpensive.

did you look at something like the Subaru Outback? I rented one once and thought it was one of the better cars I've ever driven.

    Foresters suck. Uncomfortable!!

Trust me I would get a RAV4 quickly if she wanted one. My sister has an '09, great size, comfortable, safe. Plenty of room inside.

And she HATES Subaru. Here dream vehicle besides the Aston Martin Vanquish [IMG]

    would be the Volvo XC90

My mom and her parents all have acura's, great cars with decent amount of zip. And the service department at the Beaverton dealership has been nothing but a positive experience for my mom. Ask for Joey if you go there, he is a straight shooter and super helpful. hope this helps, cheers.

Oh it helps. Problem is the expense of them. They are out of our price range

Tell me about it. My recent upgrades with wheels and tires and the added weight of rock sliders and the ARB dropped my fuelly from ~20 to averaging 15...
