Hey just wondering if the OP ever got any more output shots. I know you had taken a pre aiming one and you said you were gonna get more but you never posted any. Any luck getting some more output shots. Im looking to do this retro in the spring.

So far so good. Not really sure where mine actually came from since the body shop got them but they certainly are not OEM. I would suggest OEM though because the cheap ones are a lot harder to pull apart without breaking. Same strength glue, much cheaper plastic means a terrible time separating them.

Two things, I thought you said apollo's were a little harder and were slightly different so you got the mini's?

And Relay is H4 correct? It doesnt say H4 Bi-xenon just H4 which I believe are the same....

Not sure who you are addressing the question to but I'll try and clear it up...the Apollos are just the shrouds that go around the actual projector ( the Morimoto Minis). I'm not sure what minis you are referring to though.

As long as you are looking at the Bi-Xenon Morimoto Mini kit then it just saying H4 for the harness is fine.

Sorry combined two threads haha, that clears it up.

Mini's came from another thread (reading to much!)

    Thanks!

THis is very important, make sure you run all your wiring and hook them up on the truck BEFORE you reseal them. I learned the hard way. the alignment ring is supposed to align them horizontally, but it is not perfect you will probably need to do some triming to get the horizontal.

so if i got this straight, the actualy projector just drops in with no drilling required? and then you just tighten the nut? and there is no drilling required?
Those philips heads screws dont go through the reflector bowl right?

from every thread I've read on this retrofit, as I can tell......no drilling or cutting for the projectors only if you get the morimoto mini projectors....if you go with the fx-r's, you will probably have to auger out the hole to fit the end of the projector
as for the philips head screw's....again depending on your choice of projectors, but it doesn't really matter as the reflectors are there for mounting purposes only.

I'm waiting for my projectors to come in....should be tomorrow.....and I'm gonna retrofit my ebay dual halo projector headlights....can't wait:D

if your doing the retrofit into stock headlights, the alignment would be just like adjusting your headlights now, but from what I've read and understand, make sure you get your horizontal alignment done before putting the front lens on and sealing it......doesn't seem too hard to do, but you'd probably need to do a few tweaks before getting it perfect.

as for the aftermarket projector headlights......I don't know....I'll know as soon as I have my projectors in hand and depending if it will match the mounting points on the headlights or if I have to come up with some sort of bracket to mount them.....I'll be doing a write-up on my retrofit as soon as I get my lights.

I know of only one other person on tacoma world who's done a retrofit to aftermarket projector headlights, but he didn't post a how to DIY write-up
