    Patch is best, plug would be fine. Either way I'd rotate it to the rear.

    I've never had a plug fail on me when done properly. As someone else said, rotate it to the rear after, just to make sure. Some tire shops will repair with a patch for free.

    I didn't know there were tire patches or plugs specifically made for 2nd gen tacomas. In other words, why is this in 2nd gen??

    Plugs work fine for me if its a small nail/screw. Don't even have to take the wheel off the car!
