The phone buttons on the steering wheel work well. I can pick up and hang up call.

Not in a 2012 but this thing is smooth and the startup is fast:

this thing looks slick. need pics! reviews!

do you need to install the mic or does it work with the Tacoma mic?

how about the back up camera? does it hook up to the Alpine unit plug and play?

is the navigation sweet or lame? traffic?

I'd like to see a picture of this unit installed in a 2012. I looked at the Crutchfield website and it fits according to the website. A product advisor at Crutchfield said it will not fit. I want to be sure before dropping any money. The perfect fit adapter is out of stock at the moment. I purposely purchased the non-JBL radio because I knew I wanted to go aftermarket.

i want to see the same and didn't get entune for the same reaseon.

i don't know that the perfect fit adapter was ever released. if it was and they sold out real quick don't you think someone would be posting it somewhere? i think Alpine hasn't put it out yet. guess we'll wait and see.

funny Crutchfield told you it would not fit. that doesn't make much sense.

No the resolution is not like your iPhone the "RETINA" Display is apple's technology but, I'm happy with the resolution. Yes you can stream Netflix, YouTube and HULU.

The fit is really good. Antenna adapter is included. I used the metra part to retain the factory USB because I don't do any iPod video. Steering wheel controls are per programmed including bt buttons. I tried to use the factory mic but the impedance must have been off because the dsp went crazy. The factory camera looks pretty good. Not as good as a alpine would be but I like the oem location.

Looks sick. I want that if it works flawlessly with steering wheel controls. It blends well with stock look

Stock BT is in the OEM Radio so there is no keeping it. the Alpine has it built in.
The usb retention harness is nade by metra it is a toyusb iirc. The steering wheel works flawlessly
