Be best off using that money for engine mods. You don't have to worry about how to pair it with a transmission and so on.

    Supercharge, bored over, new cams...

    I dunno:notsure:

to race any class other than unlimited pretty much you have to stay naturally aspirated... and 7200 is more beginner than 1450. but to stay 7200 legal I need a 6cyl... and i dont want my 260HP engine pushing around a 6000lb truck... I would love to drop a small block v-8 in it but i wont be able to keep up with those guys in that class.

OK...any diesel worth driving has a turbo. The diesels that were made without a turbo were dogs, which is why they haven't made one since (besides tractors and hell even they have turbos nowadays).

Since you're building up a race truck, are you putting the truck on a diet?

just get 6.0 gears and make the truck super super light. If you are getting linked then you are out of 1450 class, so say hello to 1400 class and trucks with fully built V8s. Are you sure you will be doing 1450 or 1400 class? are you running leafs or links?

its kinda bass ackwards with Long travel... The roll cage and links add weight but you need it to race. plus that is with driver and fuel (race ready) spare parts and tools too. Its the nature of the beast. we will cut out weight where we can but id rather put more HP to it than sacrifice safety

7200 also limits wheel based to 85", which our Engage kits blow right through:
    I could be wrong tho

    fuck me... lol

I need to order a rule book and read thru it more times. 1400 might be the only option with 4-link on our trucks other than open
