Are you still using the stock fuel rails? or have you upgraded? I've read mis matched part of the thread.. might've missed it.

There are several detailed posts on the injectors and upgraded fuel rails...

 

Saw this beast yesterday when I went to get his 1 piece, hope he don't mind but I snapped a couple of pics.

 

So far Torspd, Toon714, and myself have the fuel rails. I not sure who else has them other than like 2 UAE guys, but their not on the forums. other than that the posts by BT and Homer made me lol

Broken Tusk, I have not installed yet the APR fuel rail, as I have no need to at this point. When my engine returns from Darton, be assured that it will be though.

The only person whom I know of that is using the fuel rail on his vehicle, is Toon. For the moment at least.

i have two things to say about this build.
1. Only fucking shit this is amazing you are my hero this is the coolest truck on TW!!!!

2. Please PLEASE let me have 1 or 2 of your money tree seeds so that i may grow them myself and do such mods to my own truck without worry of becoming financially tanked.

But in all seriously man, This really is my dream build... Doing all that motor work to such a fine truck that was meant to have more power from the start. I seriously wish Toyota just made them come factory with Twins or at least superchargers stock for all 4.0s

Just a question but what do you think your Quarter mile times look like? Im guessing high 12s

I have read this whole thread, Thankyou for sharing all the hard won "lessons learned". Can you clarify with the various motor swapping / etc what you ran on each setup? Like stock longblock + sts + 8 psi xxxwhp yyyftlb
rods+pistons + sts + etc etc
stock block again with engine bay setup?
It is not quite clear when you are running what internals, and at what PSI. I am trying to find a picture of how the various build levels handled the power levels.

 

Thanks you very much sir. That money tree gets shaken a lot. Lol. As fir the quarter mile time, my "best" run I had was with the front mount setup, and the stock transmission. Miss shifted from 2nd to fifth in the heat of the moment. 2 seconds later I finally got it back into gear...Got on it, but my heart was out of it. So I let back out, since there was no point. That was a 14.3 or 14.5. On 275/40 R20 Nitto Invo's. Not the best drag tire, but hey, its all I had. There will be another day.

Yeah, those were the good ole days of being lifted and boosted. Best of both worlds at times. That was a really fun day. I have been thinking about getting together another dyno day. I know there a few here in Houston that should be up to it. Need to get with Non Stop Tuning and see what they say.

This video is of the stock (1st engine that came with the truck. lol.) engine, OEM headers, and stock Y-pipe. Map-Ecu2 with 550ccm RC Engineering injectors.
Made 303 whp and 381 wtq @ 8psi. 3rd gear pull.

I added the URD Y-pipe and did another dyno. This time in 4th gear.

Stock engine, OEM headers, and URD Y-pipe. 322whp and 422wtq @ 8psi. 4th gear pull.

Modified URD Y-Pipe to fit ProComp lift due to drop brackets.




Engine with JE Pistons( 9.5:1 compression), Pauter Rods, factory heads/gaskets, DTLT's, improved exhaust copmonents. APR X-1
407 whp and 491 wtq @ 12psi 4th gear Pull







All exhaust 304 SS, and mandrel bent.







Also with a "snorkle kit"

Second built engine: CP Pistons at now 9.2:1(versus 9.5:1 w/JE Pistons) same Pauter Rods, ARP head studs, Ported and polished heads, dual valve springs w/Titanium Retainers, V-banded exhaust(and still couldn't get the damn leaks out on the setup...FML) APR X-1, DTLT, and upgraded to the Precision 6265 from the 6262 in all the previous dynos. 550 cc RC Engineering Injectors.

358whp and 465wtq @ 10 psi in 4th gear (Couldn't keep a steady 12 or higher that day...)

The dyno that is not smooth and has a mountain like appearance is the one in reference.
