Will OEM FJ wheel and tire setup (265/70R17) fit on my stock 06 doublecab or will they rub without a lift?

They are not steelies but the alloy wheels.

I just fitted a set of 07 FJ cruiser alloy wheels on my 09 Taco and it fit well. However the tire pressure sensors won't fit due to different angle of the inner hub. The new pressure sensors for FJ cruiser cost $100 each from dealer. Anyone know how to work around this or how to disable the tire pressure warning.

I'm interested in putting a set of FJ Cruiser wheels on my Tacoma and I asked the dealer about the tpms and they said some valve stem fitting kit is all that's needed to use the tpms off my stock alloys. I don't know if its true or he's just yanking my chains. Anyone know?

I saw something like this in the show room when they have the FJ black wheels on sale for CAD800. They also displayed what was included and the sensors and fitting kit was one of them. Because I am not too concern of the TPMS so I did not follow up. However the black wheels are steel and mine are alloy so still have a chance that won't work.

I just put a set of FJ's on my Taco with the 265/70R17 Dunlop stock tires still on them. They were a direct bolt on, no lift or trimming required, and they used the stock Taco lug nuts.

    Here's a pic:

Did you get your set from the dealership? I was hoping the Gunmetal set would come with matching lug nuts if I can order them from the dealership.

Nope. Won them on ebay. Tires and wheels were $112. :) No center caps though, and I had to drive 6 hours each way to pick them up. It was all good though. In the end, I sold my OEM Sport rims and actually made almost $200 on the deal after all expenses were covered. :D

Awesome. Now I definitely want to get a set. I mentioned it to my dad about trying to get the Gunmetal set now he wants to gank my stock alloys and put it on his 01 4Runner. Think they will fit?

I can't say for sure for an '01. My wife has an 04 4Runner and has the same rims as my 08 Sport had (17" x 7.5" 5-spoke alloy), but isn't the body style of the '01 different than the '04?

Yah you are right about that. They are both different body styles. Now that you mentioned it, I don't think they'll fit.

That would work too. Here is a good write up of how to get the instrument cluster out to unsolder the LED, for those who are curious.:D
