    Evening all:
What's that old saying; life has it's ups and downs. Just seems as we get older there's more downs. :(
Look what happened at Pocono yesterday, I'm sure no one expects to get killed by lightening while attending a race.

Fred: Glad you got to see some elk, and thanks for sharing.

Ken: Time for another short timers calendar !!!!!!!

I am in that 66 year old group too. I will be 64 next March. Planning on trying to make it to 65. The worst thing about working is no matter how good a job you do, how dependable you are, no one gives shit.

My brother-in-law lives a couple of miles north of Santa Fe. He draws his water from a well 300 feet down. There were things I liked about New Mexico and things I didn't. The clear air and beautiful sunrises and sunsets were awesome. I am a water person though and missed that. What you call a river is barely a trickle here.

I'm beginning to hate grass! Yesterday, mowing; today, trimming.

I might hate the cutting/edging but I still like having grass  (Just like I might complain about raking leaves in the fall - but I won't cut down my trees)

As long as you are happy with your choice, that's all that matters. I usually enjoy the yard work - as long as it's not 95* with 100% humidity  That's when I usually dislike it, but... I usually enjoy the yard work when the temp is a more comfortable temp outside.

    Zach:
Here in Maryland it is against the law to take firewood from one county to another. This is an attempt to stop the Emerald Ash Borer from spreading. We now have confirmed accounts of the insect in our sity. We have over 7000 ash trees in the city and are working on the funding to replace them.

The Ash Borer was spread from southern Maryland into western Maryland by firewood taken to a camp site.

Here is a link about the insect in Maryland.
