Didn't really know where to put this. I have an old school toyota badge that I was gonna use when I had my satoshi but never used it. I'm about to pull the trigger on a grillcraft and I want to put the TOYOTA badge on it. My question is, what should I use to put it on with and what should I do about the back stems that are on it?

As long as you don't get it all over the place you could use epoxy. Will the stems fit thru the grill? If so place it where you like, epoxy, then use a dremel or something to cut the excess stem off. If the stems won't fit thru then just cut them off, line up the emblem and epoxy.

There may be other adhesives, but epoxy will make sure it stays put. You might ask homertaco...

you could fit the stems through the grill and use a solder iron to heat up the stems and melt them to the grill and lock them in place?

Just mounted mine, i ended up epoxying (real word?) small machine screws to the back of the emblem after i cut off the the tabs, the screws just fit through holes in the grillcraft. I wanted to be able to remove it easily to repaint it, im thinking about doing a red accent around the letters instead of white, ill post pics soon so you know what im talking about

im guessing this is the badge your talking about, it was white lettering before. i color matched the letters, decided it didnt stand out enough so i painted the raised edges around the lettering white
    [IMG]
here's the screws epoxied (had to center the badge, then drop the screws with washers into the grill and epoxied them to the emblem in place, used tape to not get epoxy on grill)

Don't bother with epoxy. Use 3M double sided outdoor tape. This is basically the same stuff they usefor the factory emblems.. I used this on my grillcraft on its held up perfect.

I used 3m doublesided tape on my blacked out badges on the door and tailgate, worked great. But i personally wouldnt use it on the grillcraft mesh. 3m tape would be much easier but i didnt want to risk it falling off after paying almost 40 bucks for the emblem and then probably 2 hours of labor for painting and taping off. Plus i want to be able to remove it and put it back on easily if i want to repaint it. Plus no assholes can try to steal it and rip it off easily the screws freaking solid.

Haha thanks! Send me an oem colormatched grill and you can have mine without the grillcraft haha. I recently color matched the grill surround and im not %100 happy with how it came out, i will probably give it another try soon when its a little cooler and less humid. Good luck on your grill mods
