Just wondering if anyone has heard when the 2013's will be available. I am going to be looking to buy one by the end of October. I would like to get a magnetic grey trd sport access cab 4wd. Just would like to know if 2013's will be out by October.

The dealers here are already starting to do their 2012 clearance sales so I think by around the fall sometime the 2013's will slowly start rolling into dealerships. I could be wrong though. Call up a dealer, tell them what you want or what you're interested in and they may be able to tell you when they'll get a shipment in or something.

When I had bought my 2011 in September last year it was around another 30-60 days until the 2012's started coming in to the dealership I had purchased from.

Yea thats probably the best thing to do. I know exactly what I want it doesn't matter whether its a 12 or 13, just want a new one. And as much as I like to go ahead and get one now, I'm making myself wait till Oct due to my local credit union having awesome car loan special. They do it twice a year, in April and October. Back in April they were offering 0.9% for 5 yrs. I don't think anyone can really beat they're rates when they are doing that promo special.

Just remember, if the truck is going to cost you an extra $2k then the .9% rate won't save you any money. The dealer should be able to get you around 2.5% on a new truck if you push them.

Why are you saying the truck will cost an extra $2k?

Bc they porb won't negotiate on a 2013 like they will on a 2012 right now and there won't be a $500 rebate.

Ok, well if they are not will to negotiate then I'll just go to another dealer. Don't get me wrong I don't have to have a 2013 but i do know exactly what color and package I want. And I don't really want to compromise on that.

I wish I knew how much I could get a discount on a 2012 when the year end deals come around. Im debating if I should sell my 07 civic and get a taco this year or wait till next year when the car is fully paid off. Only $3500 to go!!

i totally understand, but what i am saying is that the dealer will have more motivation to sell a 2012 at or below invoice to clear their lots. you will get a better deal right now on a 2012 as compared to a 2013 especially considering the rebate as well.

See if any dealers in your area have a 2012 with the specs you want, and then see if you can get a deal on it.

You have the advantage if you're already willing to wait until October...because you can always make an offer on a 2012 if they one that matches what you want, and if they won't accommodate you, you can always just walk away and wait for the new models. Ultimately, dealers will want to get the 2012's off their lots, so they may be willing to come down to your desired level and make it worth your while to buy a cheaper truck despite the higher interest rate. Never hurts to try!

The answer to that question is: Will the value of the car decrease by more than you owe now ($3500)? Probably not.

In other words, you'll get more out of trading in a paid off car next year than you would one that you still owe $3500 on this year...most likely.

Of course, far be it from me to keep anyone from fulfilling their Tacoma desires!

I agree with what you're saying, if they still have or can get a 2012 with the color and package i want I will def try to get that over a 2013.

My understanding was that Toyota is doing away with the "TRD Sport Limited upgrade" package...which is separate from the TRD Sport trim package...or something to that effect.
