Oh i will make one suggestion, if your planning to get a winch get it before you install. Its such a pita to take off your whole bumper to put it in. My .02

concerning the weight and sag questions

    open the hood
place sed weight on radiator support (kittly litter/sand bags/etc)
    see how much it sags

I have done this in the past. Just be sure to drive a couple feet so the truck suspension has time to adjust for the weight.

Yeah, I think I've decided I might as well just save up a little more and just do everything all at once. I may go ahead and do the uca's first. But definitely the 886 coils, bumper and winch at the same time for sure. Don't want any more trouble than it already will be.

That's a great idea, I didn't even think of anything like that.

I have 885x with top plate spacers, 285/70/17s and an ARB without a winch. I do not rub daily driving it, but I do when I wheel and on hard dips. I'm hoping it'll help some when I swap out to 886x. The bumper weighs about 100-110lbs. I hope this helps some.

Awesome, so no rub with typical driving. And at 100-110 lbs, that's what the 885 coils are supposed to be for; "for 110lbs additional front weight" is what toytec's site says. I probably am going to do the 886 coils. But now at least I know I could likely run just the bumper with my coils for regular driving if I decided to. Thanks man.

I hit my ARB with my 285s ever so slightly in a hard stuff, honestly probably could have used cutting but ran it. Cut quite a few inches off to fit 315s. With my narrowed flares (2") I cut even with the inner edge of the fender and cut straight down to just before the bracing in the wing.

So you cut the outer wing part of the bumper on each side? And cut it along the line of the fender flare? Do you have any pictures of that?

I'm by no means an extreme off roader. I'm planning on the bumper and winch just being there for a last resort if I ever get myself in a bad situation. Do you think it's a bad assumption to think that I may not need to cut the bumper with just regular driving and a few light trails every now and then? My 295's are 33.6" x 11.6".

Yeah I'd almost bet you'll rub and it'll probably cut into the tread.

You can see I cut my flares and then the ARB to match.

Seems like you're really wanting to keep your 295s. Have you considered other bumpers like Relentless, etc? If you're stuck on an ARB, might be easier to downsize to 285s, but that's just me. Personally, I'd hate to cut my ARB.

Ah, ok. I see. What did you cut it with? And how did you seal it to keep from worrying about it rusting out?

Yeah man, I love this set of tires. They've been great. I've looked at others, but the ARB just seems like the best all around choice. It seems to be the most tough. I mean have you seen some of the pictures where people have hit deer at highway speeds and literally the only effect to the bumper is some blood, hair, etc. I also like that the OME lifts/ARB bumpers were designed by the same people to be used in conjunction with one another. The full hoop/bar up top also adds great protection. Plus it just looks great to me. It looks like it just belongs on the front of our trucks. Whereas most others, to me, look totally just out of place on the trucks; just don't look right. I just feel overall like I could trust this bumper the most if I was about to plow about 6 deer. And the bumper is much cheaper than replacing everything in the front end, engine, or even a life. So the ARB is a no brainer for me.

I do think the 285's may be an option down the road. Or maybe just a 33x12.5. Something a tad less in diameter to not worry about rubbing. This bumper and all are going to be sometime in the future for me, maybe next year or so. So maybe next time my tires wear out I can work something out.

Just cut it and don't worry about it. You'll lose that cap but as long as you leave plenty of room it won't matter anyway. Theres bracing behind the wings anyway.

Taped off a line and then angle grinder, then carefully de burred the edge and taped off everything but the very tiny strip that had been cut and deburred. I then used some semi gloss black paint. It's not powder coat but it'll be fine. Just keep up on it.

Or you could even have someone cut and then cap it and then you could either just paint it or you could have it sand blasted or whatever media you choose and re-finished with powdercoat. At that point I'd choose a different bumper though.

Cool, great info. And it doesn't seem like too much trouble if I end up having to do that. Thanks man!

Yeah it didn't heat up too bad and the powdercoat didn't bubble so the amount of paint you need will be minimal and even though it won't match exactly it'll only be noticeable very close up because of the small area.

Im pretty sure the ARB bumper weighs around 180-185 pounds, the 885's are rated for 100-110 extra pounds in the front, so you probably will sag over the course of a week or so

Yeah, I have the front bar I have now powder coated. But whenever I scrape it up, I just hit it with a little bit of the Home Depot textured bedliner and it matches just fine. I don't know if I've said it yet, but your truck is a beast! I've had a tab open the past few days of your build just looking it over. Great stuff man.

Man, that's pretty stout but you're probably right. But I've decided to wait and do it with 886 coils. Gonna just do it right the first try. Thanks for the info though man!

That sucks, they didn't give you much detail.

I asked for weight, details, pictures, all kinds of stuff. He did recommend OME suspension in another e-mail, but didn't comment on recommended coils or bumper weight.
