Umm a long time ago, working for a private service doing 911 in one county, a small clinic in another rural county called us to transfer a mentally ill pt. that had been inserting pencils into his rectum, with the associated trauma.... I told them to call our transfers base, that they'd be happy to handle it. yup. luckily got to turf that one.

 

We had a guy with a shampoo cap in his ass. Via X-ray it was a a good foot up into his colon. According to his story he slipped and fell on the shampoo bottle while in the shower.

A butternut squash, holy Hell people are freaky.

 

a guy omce told when he was at a papermill that a big ole woman put 2 two litre bottles up her apparently large vagina

we had a transport last shift, 34 y/o female, 37 wks prego. This one being her second.

She was having contractions that were about 5 mins apart, lasting 30 seconds or so. Water already broke.

So about a 20 mins before we reached our destination she started to have contractions that were only about 1-2 mins apart.


I was like.....

 

Had a female pt today post D&E that lost around 600 post procedure, ended up losing 2 liters in the ER. She lost probably 1 on my gurney. I've personally never seen that much blood come from one person

 

I got a quick question. I was out fishing Friday on the sea watch out of San Diego. I got sea sick and fell asleep on deck with no sun screen. I got a pretty gnarly sun burn on my arms shoulders and from my knee to the top of my ankle. My left leg is fine as well as my upper body. But my right leg is killing me I can barely walk with a limp. If I stand still my knee gets a shooting pain if my knee is elevated and I get up to move it causes a sharp pain to shoot thru it almost buckles me. So did I damage my knee some how by getting it sun burnt or what?

 

Its not too likley that you actually injured your knee from the sunburn. If the sun burn was so deep it affected tissues underneath I would have to imagine you would be in the hospital. Aulthough the sunburn can hurt like hell when you move your knee because the skin moves everytime you do.

If your knee iteslf is hurt it is more likley you injured it some other way, maybe the rocking of the boat?

 

So the burn could be deep enough to burn the muscle?
