They're all pretty simple. Just make sure you remove the fill plugs before you remove the drain plugs (if you can't get the fill plug out, don't drain the fluid!)

The front diff requires an allen wrench if I recall correctly.

Plugs aren't bad, just takes a little patience. There are write-ups on here on how to do pretty much all of it. Just check out the 2nd Gen DIY's.

Just a heads up, the oils for the diffs and x-fer case are fairly expensive. Plan on spending close to $100 for all the oils.

FWIW, I did all the fluids at 30k and waited until 40k to do the plugs. I'm now at 75k and will wait til 80k to do the plugs again and I haven't touched the diffs for my 60k service yet.

I need to do these things in mine as well. If you want to get together sometime soon and get them done on both trucks we can.

I'll be doing mine toward the end of the summer so depending on how quickly you guys set something up, I might see if I can join you if that's alright. I've got a list of crap to do on the truck this weekend already so I'm putting off some of the other stuff for now...

I just did the plugs ,front brake pads, t-case and diff fluids a few months ago and did the grease fittings last month, all pretty easy to do,just take your time.

Use the extractors if you want, I wouldn't recommend them... Solids fall out of the oil and settle on the bottom of the oil pan. Letting the oil drain out the bottom vs. being sucked from the top I've got to believe will help flush the sediment out of the pan better.

One of the things I'm doing this weekend is the oil change. I'll be getting under the truck and using the old method :D

And if you do the fluids buy a pump, they're pretty cheap, it helps with the front diff and t-case if i remember.

I dont drive all that much so I am not rushing to do it tomorrow. I am at 100k and none of them, including the plugs have ever been done

apparently the previous owner didnt believe in basic maintenance...

I am just glad i finally got the locker to engage. I dont think it was ever used or had ever been engaged
