do you have a name for this said Mexican tire shop? I will be needing tires fot the FJ this winter. I got quoted like 1300 for Duratracs and a month wait. I got mine at discount tire online for under about 900 free shipping.

 

This was the first time I had made the summit, second time I had been up the mountain. First time up we hit 60+ winds and 30* with freezing rain and said noooo. Only made the key hole that time.

I have Thursday-Sunday off this next week.

Damn next weekend for me is full unless you want to do a ride along to a trail we are doing on Sunday. Saturday is out. Maybe Friday night?

Anyone going to the toytec customer appreciation day tomorrow? I called to see if there were any deals going on but they wouldn't tell me. They said there will be a deal that's only good tomorrow, but will have to wait to find out.

Ok, so this is how that $850 went down...picked up 3 nails in my very tired pro-comps, so was sitting in a Discount-ish Tire shop waiting for the tire to be patched. While I am sitting there debating what size and brand tire I want to buy to replace my ProComps before the winter, In walks this rich asshole with a Nissan Titan and crying that the salesman lied to him and the Duratracs were not a "pleasantly quite" tire on the freeway. The manager took back the tires and gave him a different tire. So there I sat listening to the whole thing, and because he had bought them and put 50 miles on the tires the manager says to his salesman..."damn, now we have to sell those things as a used tire."

The salesman replies back to his boss "I'll bet you I can sell them in 1 hour, and if I do I get the rest of the day off payed." The manager says you got yourself a deal.

Salesman turns to me and says, "hey Wes, you want to buy some "used" Duratracs on the cheap, and I will toss in a lifetime warranty as well?"

My face went something like this
And then my friends, me and the salesman strolled on outta the shop looking something like this

 

Shit that is just straight up luck, nothing else haha

Man she will never wheel it. It is riding nice with our stock OR Billy's and spacer lift from Toytec. Shouldn't need a new suspension for another 100k miles. Just had the timing belt, serpentine belt, and pullies done with Brian for about $1300. Included oil change and tire rotate as well. Next up is tranny flush, diffs, and T case. Wanna keep this one for 300k miles. Then she gets a Lexus.

I will be in Arvada tomorrow getting my cab mount chop plates welded. If time permits I was going to head over there afterward. Need to see if I can win my some UCA's.

yeah I want to get there early, but I probably won't be able to stay too long so hopefully you don't need to be present to win. I'm hoping the daily deal is on dakars because I need some. Oh uca's too, so I'll be competing with you on those.
