...on brief aside, there's a guy who panhandles for money every day (and i mean he rarely misses a day), for like a year now, ...on an exit ramp i drive on to work, ...the municipality tried to ban him from being there, but they didn't have jurisdiction since the ramp is considered federal hwy.. anyway, i think it's a perfect analogy, to the alarmists - "we're right, ..we have a consensus, so fork over your money and sovereignty", ...me - i'll keep my change, and keep sighting in on those blue helmets

Yeah, I'm not a scientist, so I won't pretend to know more than them.

I think the main point right now is sea level rise is a reality, and folks better prepare for it, as is any agency or other entiity currently designing and building civil infrastructure at, or within the realm of affect of, waterbodies affected by these projections, especially if they want to preserve the benefit of their capital outlay in the long term.
