I guess we can also discredit every source that doesn't share our view on the issue.

A government that makes decisions that are good for people as a whole. Most if not every decision is based on either money or politics. Until then I'm always worried about studies that support a political view. Again Im not disputing that the world is or is not getting hotter just that maybe people would consider that its not us.;)

Sorry I had to troll just because the Koolaid is so thick.

I miss Global Cooling - a very cool concept.

You don't think our current President has our interests at heart? ;)

Oh ok, I had a stupid moment :p but like I said the earth naturally warms and cools it self so no, we are not the ultimate cause of global warming in the big picture, as in the whole span of earths life

Looking at the small picture as in the last few hundred years, yes we are. We have seen changes in the earth's temperature happen much faster then normal. The amount of pollution humans production is much higher than if humans were not on the planet at all.

I've tried to ignore this thread for a while but let me add...

Global climate change (aka Climate Change) occurs all the time. Many things influence it. We may have some input to this change. So might things like volcanic activity, sun activity, and political activity. Collectively known as WEATHER.

The political movement - illustrated by 95% of all content on this thread is an attempt to disrupt the capitalist system that has allowed people to live in 'poverty' while eating everyday, being able to get free healthcare at any emergency room and having satellite TV.

By small picture you mean the view that you get from ABC, NBC, the 'Weather' Channel and MSNBC?

Although I have only lived half of a century, I've seen many drastic changes both ways but none more prevalent than the politicized information dissemination that used to be called news.

You have to ask yourself, why do they want cap and trade and not just a limitation. It's to force us into "green" energy which they, al gore and his associates own.

I don't even watch TV so no, not from those. If I had my old computer I would upload a few documents from classes I've taken.

We can measure earths temperature history from things such as taking ice core samples, giving us a small picture.

Man, do you see conspiracies everwhere? We're not trying to "fake a trend." Instead, we're just normal people (like you) who feel something is just not right. We see some evidence, but you're right that it's not conclusive. If it were (conclusive), we probably wouldn't be having this dispute. Our concern is if we wait around (again like you) for conclusion evidence (which you insist must cover centuries or longer), it may be too late to make changes (certainly too late for us to make changes). So instead, to delay that and have some potentially positive influence on the future, we urge minor changes where possible. Have those changes really put you out (screwed up your life) all that much? If not, why would you resist those and similar changes to such an extent?

If we have not concluded that it is us that is causing it why do we have to make any changes? When u start making laws based on assumptions thats when we get ourselves in trouble. You know that some idiot from CARB here in cali wanted to prohibit the color blk from being used on cars because it attracts more heat and causes us to use more air condition in the car!!!!:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Nobody is stopping anyone from getting electric cars and recycling. You have the right to do what u want (as of now in America) So I have the right not too. Stop forcing views on others. When there is absolute evidence that we make that much of a difference then we can talk about making laws to oversee everyones habbits;)

it's not a conspiracy in the sense that to any one w/ a skeptical eye toward centralizing power in the hands of a few global elitist ruling class types, it's pretty easy to see... the alarmists tried w/ global cooling, then global warming, and now "climate change" (i.e. the pathetic attempt to keep the movement alive despite contradictions and debunked claims)... the whole movement is a so-called "solution" looking for a problem, ...so, in the name of "crisis", they can pillage the masses and the sovereignty of nations...

"never let a crisis go to waste", eh?...

..the whole "movement" is geared toward global cap-n-trade schemes, ..i'm sure you've heard of that... global gov't regulating parcels of air essentially, w/ an elitist cabal of ruling class and "special" investors who stand to make great power and wealth through this scheme... manufacture a "crisis", and the lemmings will forfeit their economic sovereignty, wealth, and national sovereignty to manage the activity in their own borders... meanwhile, "developing", or 3rd world nations, who would never subscribe to such scheme, would be able to quickly grow their economies and industrial base, while that of "1st world" subscribers would wane... so, you see who this benefits, ...and it's not those who buy-in to it...

The problem with climate change deniers is that by the time they realize it's happening it'll be too late

"what" is happening, is it because of man-made "emmissions", and if so, "how" significant is it?...

What happens when u realize it's not us and we have spent trillions on this? Global warming, global cooling, climate change....people forget history. That's why most young people believe this and those who remember the past won't be fooled by it.
