none of what you mentioned is tin foil hat stuff... unless "tin foil hat" applies to large majorities of people... there's good reason the climate change alarmists haven't gotten their way yet, enough people still have life-learned wisdom and instincts - i.e. doesn't pass the smell test... so, you can call me names, but you're really just alienating yourself as someone who is just "go along to get along", which is fine, i guess, if you don't have anything to lose...

I forget where I read it...

but, the warming of the earth, in a broader sense, is credited with the expansion of the human race.

seems...back in ancient times, more of the planet was cold, many starved to death...and warmer temps allowed for increased productivity of food/farming. thus, humans had more available eats...and the population expanded.

I haven't called you names , and I disagree that I am alienating myself by believing that both natural climate change and human influenced climate change are happening as I would suggest that is actually more prevelant a belief than the all out denial you are peddling

Gee, if nothing else, we'll have cleaner air. And, so far, it's millions, not trillions. We certainly have spent a lot of money over the last few decades addressing various environmental concerns (chemicals and similar harmful to humans, etc), but only a small portion of that was earmarked towards climate change.

There are roughly seven (7) billion of us on this planet. Numbers that high will have an impact on virtually anything, including this planet. You're surrounded by roughly 300 million in the USA alone (growing rapidly). Just think about how much pollution (trash, waste, burned fuels, exhaust emissions, etc) you've generated over the last few years and multiply that by a few hundred million. Now multiply it by a few billion. That's certainly significant.

And, yes, the planet was here before and will be after. The issue is how long we'll survive on it.

Which political ideology is that? I'm a die-hard southern conservative and you views on this vastly differ from mine. Does that mean you're a liberal? This is about our planet, guy, not politics. Get past the latter.

I have no dog in this fight...

but, do you not believe the issue being discussed is not a political one? or has been politicized?

and do you not believe one side of the political debate is pro MMGW, or GW, or "climate change" more than another?

...sorry, but it see it as the reverse; the "climate change" movement is driven on politics much more than planet...

Absolutely! The people who are making billions off this could care less about environment. Go spend a day with gore then tell me if he cares about the environment  I would bet he waste just as much as the average joe. Let's be real. It's 95% money 5% envirementel. Just like we go over board on all these safety laws we are over estimating our impact on the earth. Every time someone brings up safety nobody's wants to be the guy going against that so now if someone disagrees about climate change you want to put a tin foil on our heads

How about this, natural climate change is being accelerated by human influenced climate change.

Sorry I guess I should post more in other threads. Lol just happen to see this one on the front page and felt like giving my opinion. We can have a civilized debate about this as long as we keep it as that. No need to inforce all these laws and regulations based on assumption. And by assumption I mean how much WE are affecting the world. :D
