    so i spent a lot of last night playing on the computer and came up with this for a bed rack and a sorta low profile roof basket design... i wanna do round tuning for the rack but I'm not sure yet

    Nice design.

    couple of thoughts..

    too much steel is used in the bed rack portion, you don't need that many squares in the middle section. Would be really heavy that way..and any reason as to why the middle is lower then the ends??

    also what is the length of the roof rack? looks long..and with out some better bracing i can promise you it'll smack the roof with something on it over bumpy stuff :eek:

    otherwise i like it :cool:


    will be interesting to see the blacked out hood too :popcorn:

    wasn't sure how much metal was really needed for the tent part more i look at it the more it looks like too much...

    i made the middle lower because i would prefer to keep the tent as low as possible for offroading purposes and the ends being higher more for looks and extra protection in case the tent would break loose

    roof rack isn't quite to scale but i can move my thule bars closer and make it smaller to adjust for that

    update on the hood cover not where i thought it would be after a week but o well
