Just rode 30 on paved and limestone mix. Boring. My tires sound like super swampers on the hard stuff. I noticed my front caliper seems to be engaged slightly. Any thoughts on what to look for? Think I got some juicys on there.

Take of caliper, spread the pads all the way apart with a flat head screw driver till the pistons are all the way retracted, then the bolts that hild the caliper keep loose so the caliper can wiggle a little and then pull the brake 10 times and hold it down while tightening the bolts and you can repete till it centers itself or insted of pumping it spin the wheel then grab the brake and tighten it down, sorry for grammer on my phone, look up avid brake manul it has directions kinda hard to explain without being there

I have that same one. I have only had my bike 3 weeks and I love it! Such a useful part. I have heard that they can be annoying to maintain. The only other gripe I have is that is the post isnt to its full extended postion and I pull up on the seat the seat will raise, then I have to push it back down to the position it was in. I dont know if this is normal in other posts but its not much or a gripe.

I've been wearing them for two years and my friend also has for about 3-4 years. I really like them and they seem to last a long time.

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
I've got Troy Lee, Fox, and 661 knee/shin pads....can't go wrong with any of those honestly. POC and Race Face also make pretty good pads as well.

    Yeah.
I have one, no problems so far. I don't use it a lot, but it is nice to have when you want it. Kinda like 4WD.

I had bought some TLD Tbones from the TLD "Boutique" in my town. They were L/XL and they were WAY to small. Went to return them and they didnt have Xl/XXl so I picked up some 661 Rage pads instead. They are the next model of the Kyle Straits and boy are they comfy. Cant wait to downhill later. Nice looking bikes btw ^^^^
