    You welcome

One other thing to keep in mind is that automotive and any other plants of multinational foregin companies are extensions of those companies and not off on their own doing their own thing. They are tied at the hip with corporate (engineers, quality control, production) people who are constantly in the plants. Keep in mind that Ive never been in a toyota plant but Toyota has some of the best manufacturing and quality control processes in the world. Dispite that problems do arise but many times that comes more from up the ladder than at the plant level.

I would not worry about purchasing a Mexican toyota truck.

These guys run in the general elections. Its a coalition gov so they either give backing or get backed by the smaller parties and get elected by the public. However, to your point, same animal different disguise.

That is problem with most US manufacturers they keep the screw ups! I know I have worked in manufacturing all my working life. I work for a company that is about as close to union as you can get. What makes it more frustrating is my company is an esop co. Meaning I have an ownership interest in the company. So, when we have a bunch of bafoons running machinery it pisses me off! And as far as rules and regulations, my god, I don't know how we can compete with anyone over the border or overseas. And lastly, I don't know if the kids these days will do the work in the factories anyway. The Mexican people surely will!
    Sorry for the rant.
I will say I wasn't pleased to find out my truck was made across the border but it appears to be well made.

My new Taco was born in Baja California, Mexico.

With 6 months of use so far, I have no complaints to date.

From what I've recently learned, Baja California, Mexico's plant ONLY produces the Taco 4x4 Double cabs..... true?

My 2012 DCSB Prerunner came from the Baja plant. I don't remember exactly but it seems I read here on tw that all double cabs now were from the Baja plant-(not 100% sure if this is correct).

    apology not necessary

I believe it may have something to do with location of the dealer and the factory. but like yourself...not sure.

My first Taco (09) was built in Mexico and didn't have AC chirp. My 11 has chirp from Taxes.

    Yup, Sport as well.

The BC, Mexico plant only does V6 double cabs.

... other plants will do the Tundras, DC Tacos and cars too, but not in Mexico.
