I did but when I tried to say it it came out "I perform my own preventative maintenance."

Yea I figure I just fried the brushes so if I'm gonna try to replace them for a free spare. I found a guy that can custom wrap a non-tow package alternator for 180-190A and another website that can apparently fit a 250A GM alternator with some slight shimming.

Oh and the first time I touched an alternator was when you told me to put it back in the truck. I fumbled my way through it and it ended up saving me $400. Thanks man :)

good deal dude. they are relatively easy, but a pain in the ass at the same time.....especially on the 3.4.......getting them off/on isnt a problem, but if the belt breaks....such as in jeff's case, its a pita cause of all the removing other belts and adjustments and shit. good thing you have one major belt with the tensioner....makes it a good bit easier.

Definitely. The wife sat in the car reading a book and I dragged her out to take the belt off the pulley and put it back on. That was it. Besides that it was an easy 1 man job.

I've got a few rods back home. I'll have the family bring'em down in June. I've got a deep sea jig rod and I think a couple cheap surf casting rods. I forget.
