Has anyone on here supercharged or turbocharged the 3.4 with an automatic transmission? if so has it given you any problems with shifting or burning the tranny out? and i've heard the trd supercharger was not worth the time or money and that the urd charger was more worth the bill.. i'm not lookin for major horsed and runnin drag strips but the small amount of horses from the 3.4 could use some help... any imput?

Trd superchargers are amazing and in my opinion the only performance upgrade worth spending any money for the 3.4l. For the automatics just make sure you run a tranny cooler and you should have no problems

Yeah, the 3.4 uses the M62 unit. For the tranny, you will need, or should strongly consider a Level 10 valve body upgrade.

that's what i was afraid of hearin... since it's my daily driver it would be kinda hard to leave it stranded while they work on it... are all of the automatics that toyota produced to match the v6 the same? and i know you had yours supercharged chris how did the other drive components hold up to the additional output

I beat on my truck harder than anyone I know. Hard enough that I actually had a passenger bail out one time. :D NEVER had an issue with drive components. The Level 10 upgrade should be something you can do your self. The valve body is pretty easy to work on, and their instructions are very clear.

thanks i found the sight and i'm gonna give them a call tomorrow... one other question.. with the v6 what gears would i need to run to push 35's? and not completely kill my gas mileage... since i drive around 500 miles a week between work and home i would like to keep at least decent mileage.. i actually get around 22 highway right now...

Depending on what you have in the rear now, 4:56 or 4:88's should be good.
