I am getting 15-18 mpg with tons of extra armor and 285's.

I wish more companies made the 255's. I would love a 255 goodyear MTR. I will probably go with the KM2 and then sipe the internal treads.

    yes

less weight and rolling resistance = better mpg plain and simple

    screw that.....

Got my (5) km2's for $950 cash and no tax....

I think Ill keep the difference of $1,145 and buy 2 sets for less then one set of them :D

They better drive twice as good.

I have the KM2's and getting 18.5 mpg riding around town. I also burn 92 octane, it gets me another 2.0 to 2.5 mpg more.

    So far, love the tires!

Well, I got my Toyo's off of Craigslist. Only 5,000 miles on them...

Surprised that my speedometer is only 2MPH off at 60MPH.

MT's suck in the snow and KM2's are no different. Read the reviews. Some people love them some hate them. Everyone I wheel with who has KM2's never had any issues with them in the snow. They also have 35" or larger.

Looking to get some insight from people running this size tire (please see my info to the left):

I'd like to get away from my stock 16" TRD rims and 1.25" wheel spacers, but I'd like to maintain a similar stance with a new set of wheels.

I've read that the 255's will work fine w/ an 8" wide rim, but is there an optimal rim width the these tires? 6-8"? Advantages/Disadvantages?

Also, as I mentioned above, if possible, I'd like to keep the wider, more agressive stance that comes with the 1.25" wheel spacers and my stock rims, so what would be the ideal backspacing on a new wheel to maintain this stance and still have minimal rubbing issues w/ these tires?

Mine are on 17x8 mojaves. I believe they are 4.5bs so they have a decent stance but dont stick out far. If you want I can run outside and take a couple pics since its my lunch hour

7" is optimal for the KM2.

Keeping the same stance is not a good idea with a large tire like these. You want them to be skinny and sit inside so they don't rub your fenders IMO.

If my tires stuck out further I would have ripped my fenders off at all 4 corners by now.

Thanks, your lunch break is probably over by now, but if you want to post a pic or two at your convenience I'd appreciate it

No problem. Not great pics but I got what I could from the parking lot. Couldn't get a rear shot cause of the car behind me.

These are 255/80/17 km2s on 17/8 mojaves. I believe they are 4.5bs. They don't stick out far at all.

No spacers, and it might be the camera. Its just a phone camera so it's not that good. They were a package deal when I bought them from a member on here so I wasn't choosy. I don't wheel much (last time was in early 2011 before I even got these  :anonymous:) I'll try to get a better pic lined up with the side of the truck later for better view.

stance looks awesome! I agree with you on the Camera. A camera phone does not offer good "depth of field" and the angle is kinda pointing downward.

Ahhhh, so that's where you placed your license plate. Demello installed mine on the downward angle, and I just received a ticket from parking enforcement.

    really? thats crazy.

In the upward angle my plate would have been ripped off by mud, snow, and water.

I sure as hell hope no one ever busts my ass with mine mounted down.

Idiotic, right? It can still be seen and read. Parking enforcement on bicycles... they need money more than the PD.
