should i take this seriously or not?

ive been talking to a girl her parents found out bout me, hate me and dont want me to talk to her, no biggie i respect their descion however, bigger brother wants to take thinks in his own hands and be an e-thug, sending me facebook messages treatining to fight me as well as kill me.

i dont mind the fighting but i do not appreciate messages threatening to kill me just for speaking to his sister, he is 19 and his sister is 15, i am 16. we werent even relation ship wise talking, just talking, bout life the universe and everything

i am a pretty rugged guy and am proficent at kick boxing and can take punches as well as throw them back however i do not take death threats lightly this is his message what course of action should i take?

Whew I would just avoid his messages save them and report to the police don't ask them to do anything just give them a heads up for incase something does happen, but do not send any more comments that will drive him up the wall and into saying things he should not have said. You will have to give up the girl also.

No disrespect and don't take this wrong, but is there a reason the family does not care for you, are you on parole, sell crack or meth to school children, DUI or rape conviction, anything?
I have a little sister, I tossed more than one guy out the front door, I am glad I never came across you though, wouldn't look good for big brother to get his butt kicked. Try to warm up to them, let them get to know you. This could take time, if you really like this girl it will be worth it. I thank the Lord every day for blessing me with sons, I know I would have done something really stupid if somebody had hurt my daughter, I truly believe that is why I was blessed with boys. Men are or at least should be very protective of the women in their lives, this includes brothers.
My small piece of advise would be, unless the brother totally comes after you, walk away if you can, the family will never accept you if you embarrass the brother.

i am not and was not looking at a "relationship" with her, we just talk alot. her parents dont even know me and neither does her bro, they have never even met me in person.

I am 16 a volunteer firefighter, i stay away from drugs drinking and smoking, i have 2 part time jobs, payed for my own truck and boat, and completely rebuilt a boat trailer.

i do not disrespect women at all, i do not tolerate it at all. i have a friend that is like a sister to me, though we are not related she sees me as an older brother and i see her as a younger sister. she has told me about a guy that mouthed her wrong, i sat down talked with him (in a kinda stern way) and now we are actually friends, he was breaking up with her and didnt mean to come off rude to her but did.

i think personally her family is over reacting, essentially cause i have a dick, but to each their own. i dont tolerate death threats but yet i didnt want to cause any legal potential harm to her brother, even if he is being a dousche.

and i am clean with the law by the way except for a minor traffic violation cause my ground came undone on my trailers break lights, i have fixed that and hope to get it dropped

Sounds like an overreaction on the families part, not the first or the last time in history this will happen. If you are really interested in the girl, take an interest in the family and I bet they come around.

I had a problem like this except the girl was a stupid c**t b***h and wouldn't leave me alone after I literally told her that I never want her in my life, around my friends, or in anything I will or am a part of for the rest of my life...she doesn't leave me alone. I tell her I'll report her to the police, delete her number and tell her to leave me alone, she still contacts me and I didn't recognize the number so I asked who it was, got no answer, said I'd report her to the police...still texts me as I "unknowingly" know who it is.
I had to literally provide her with the dictionary definition of what harassment is and how one becomes harassed for her to leave me alone...she tried to turn it around on me and then after I ended the friendship multiple times, she still thinks she won and ended it. Crazy ass chick, this girl's brother is the same way.

The chick was my friend's ex who still tries to turn shit around on him to this day and makes him sound like the bad guy. She's a really terrible person and people like that you just have to say leave me alone and if they don't, take it to the police.

I wouldn't take anything of it but if he ever does get any more crazy then you may have to escalate. (I don't take death threats lightly either, last person that did it to me got a police record for violence against a minor)
