    thats what we have Afghanistan for! lol jk. But seriously China lake is really close we fly our planes out there for weapons testing all the time! why cant we use that?

    Because ground forces can't maneuver on a bombing range. UXO sucks.

    That's also why if the USMC takes the land the public will never see it again, even if they don't use it for more than a few years.

    the boy scouts will loose a premium camping area and facility , star gazers/astronomers, amateur rocketeers will also loose a dry lake bed or two that they use for their model rockets. the pending closure will affect more then just the off road community

    No, its been in the works since the first proposel and official letter of intent was sent off to congress in 2008. We are just at the very end of the process.

    Well I just called and the gentleman I spoke with cut me off and said since I don't live within his district that he "can't take me into consideration because its members of his district that voted to send him to congress and I need to call my local rep"

    Use 92307 - its Apple Valley thats where I live that should be close enough to Lucern and the affected areas
